Bug#557066: ITP: nama -- Ecasound-based multitrack recorder, mixer and mastering application

2009-11-19 Thread Joel Roth
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Joel Roth

* Package name: nama
  Version : 0.9986-1
  Upstream Author : Joel Roth
* URL : http://search.cpan.org/
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : Ecasound-based multitrack recorder, mixer and mastering
application

 Nama provides user interfaces for multitrack
 recording, effects processing, mixdown and mastering by the
 Ecasound audio engine. Features include inserts, sub buses,
 send buses (suitable for instrument monitor), presets and
 other convenience functions with full online help. Mastering
 is based on the signal flow used by Jamin.
 .
 The text interface permits efficient audio production by
 console users. Nama's Tk-based graphic interface provides
 buttons and sliders for commonly used functions. Latency
 compensation and a graphic waveform display may be provided
 in future.

  Description : A tool for real time audio delay and feedback effects

 Tapiir is a simple and flexible audio effects processor, inspired on
 the classical magnetic tape delay systems used since the early days
 of electro-acoustic music composition. It provides a graphical user
 interface consisting of six delay lines, or "taps", which can
 introduce an almost arbitrarily big or small delay to their inputs
 and can be fed back to each other.

Bug#557080: O: zope-formulator -- tool to create and validate web forms in zope

2009-11-19 Thread Andreas Tille
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the zope-formulator package.

The package description is:
 Formulator helps you (and/or other zope products) create and validate
 web forms. Form fields are stored as objects in Zope, in a special
 Form folder.
 .
 It takes care of the rendering of the fields in the form, as well as
 the validation and processing of the data that is submitted; it does
 not do form layout itself.

Remark: While the package is in principle group maintained by
Debian/Ubuntu Zope Team
I was the driving force to have it in Debian. I personally
stopped using it and it most probably does not work any
more with current zope2.x packages. So rather a removal
of the package seems apropriate and in fact I will ask for
removal in case nobody will step in in the next couple of
weeks.

Bug#522138: ITP: gears -- Gears (formally Google Gears)

2009-11-19 Thread Stefano Zacchiroli
Hi Fabian, ping on this ITP.

I've recently noticed that the Gears package is available in Ubuntu, at
least in Karmic [1], an announcement/heads up about it has been recently
posted to Planet Ubuntu [2]. As an annoyed amd64 user which still has
no Gears, I'd really like to see the package arriving in Debian too.

Are you still working on the packaging?
Do you need help?
Any reason not to join efforts with Ubuntu people?

If you are no longer interested in packaging it please let us know, so
that someone else can step in and finally package it.

TIA,
Cheers.

I'm the upstream author and the 0.3.1 release is available from
http://joakimandersson.se/projects/colortail/ and I've put the source
code on github http://github.com/joakim666/colortail

Furthermore, Edward Betts used to maintain debian
packages of colortail. I'm not sure when and why it got dropped
though...

Bug#536320: Adoption conky package

2009-11-19 Thread Nikolas Garofil
Sorry for my late reply, you can set the owner back to Ryan.
I think i am better at writing code then writing packages.
Ryan, i would suggest building the package based on the head of the
1.7.2 git branch,
I added some bugfixes to that branch last week that are not part of
the 1.7.2 package.
Don't use the master git branch, it has too many experimental/unstable features.
You will probably also need to create a tolua++ package if you build
conky with lua support.
Cesare Tirabassi can probably give you some more tips,
he maintains the ubuntu package and also writes code for conky.

Nikolas

Bug#533450: maintaining poulsbo in Debian

2009-11-19 Thread Kushal Koolwal

> Same. But as said in my previous mail, I've ommitted some patching you did..
> will try that later, but not sure if I find the time today...
If you are just installing from the pre-compiled packages you don't need
modifications. Those packages should have everything that you need to get GMA
working (I think).

I would be interested to know about your results.

Bug#549626: Full details on new file layout

2009-11-19 Thread Stephen Warren
Copying the details I posted to bug 547248 here too:

Yet-to-be-released NVIDIA drivers will install:

/usr/lib/libvdpau.so -> libvdpau.so.1
/usr/lib/libvdpau.so.1 -> libvdpau.so.190.NN
/usr/lib/libvdpau.so.190.NN
/usr/lib/libvdpau_nvidia.so -> vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.190.NN
/usr/lib/libvdpau_trace.so -> vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so.190.NN
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.1 -> libvdpau_nvidia.so.190.NN
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.190.NN
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so.1 -> libvdpau_trace.so.190.NN
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so.190.NN

git HEAD libvdpau will install:

/usr/lib/libvdpau.la
/usr/lib/libvdpau.so -> libvdpau.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/libvdpau.so.1 -> libvdpau.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/libvdpau.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.la
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so -> libvdpau_trace.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so.1 -> libvdpau_trace.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so.1.0.0

Aaron wants confirmation that this layout is acceptable before making an
official release, to avoid churn.

Description: hard-core shoot 'em up game in blue-or-red world
 tenmado is a vertically scrolling, late 1990s style (that is, a massive
 number of enemy shots against a smaller-than-it-looks spaceship) shoot 'em
 up game. A very accurate collision detection makes it a game of
 dexterity. If something looks like a triangle, it is a triangle, not
 a rectangle of similar size.
 .
 However, surviving is only 20% of the game. The main feature of tenmado
 is the "color chain bonus". You can get a very big score (about 100 times
 bigger than a normal enemy-destruction point) by destroying enemies of
 the same color successively. It is easy or difficult depending on how
 greedy you are.
