I have read the thread now a bit and I agree that listing all copyright holders in debian/copyright is really a stupid; debian is not maintaining and distributing a perfect list of IP owners for source code; we distribute software. It's a tool for Unix-like systems that takes all the hassle out of extracting archives. dtrx is basically the same as tar -zxf or tar -xjf except you don't have to remember the flags for each file. But there's more to it than that. You know those really annoying files that don't put everything in a dedicated directory, and have the permissions all wrong? dtrx takes care of all those problems for you, too. dtrx is simple and powerful. Just use the same command for all your archive files, and they'll never frustrate you again. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers stable APT policy: (800, 'stable'), (500, 'testing'), (99, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-6-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: dtrx Source-Version: 6.4-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of dtrx, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: dtrx_6.4-1.diff.gz to pool/main/d/dtrx/dtrx_6.4-1.diff.gz dtrx_6.4-1.dsc to pool/main/d/dtrx/dtrx_6.4-1.dsc dtrx_6.4-1_all.deb to pool/main/d/dtrx/dtrx_6.4-1_all.deb dtrx_6.4.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/d/dtrx/dtrx_6.4.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
