Bug#492157: ITP: apollo -- The Apollo Solr Server
On Sat, Jul 26, 2008 at 09:00:52AM +1200, Paul wrote: [...] > I should also add that apollo is currently built as a native Debian > package, where the Solr tarball is downloaded in the build process, and > then bits of it used to construct the apollo binary package. Ok I see now that you have added your own enhancements to Solr. In that case, maybe it is better not to make a native Debian package, but to create your own "upstream" project, or of course try to get your enhancements merged with the original Solr project. In case they do not want to merge, you should make an official Apollo Solr website (you can use alioth.debian.org for that I think). That way other distributions can also easily track your progress and make packages out of it. -- Met vriendelijke groet / with kind regards, Guus Sliepen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Perhaps the putty package should rename plink to putty-plink or similar. In these kind-of situations it seems to me that there is no clear rule on what should happen - "oldest stays" does not seem like a sensible idea (I think the epiphany package should be renamed epiphany-game, for example, but the maintainer clearly disagrees) Just to be clear, I noticed the collision but I don't actually use putty-tools myself :) It seems it might disappear as part of removing gtk #1 packages in the future. -- Jon Dowland -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". All the font access is done through the FreeType2 library, which supports many formats. It can render images of characters with high-quality hinting and antialiasing, extract metrics information, and extract the outlines of characters in scalable formats like TrueType. Bug#492548: ITP: avinfo -- Audio/Video information automatic extractor/file list generator
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Stanislav Maslovski <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * Package name: avinfo Version : 1.0.a16 Upstream Author : George Shuklin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://shounen.ru/soft/avinfo/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: C Description : Audio/Video information automatic extractor/file list generator AVInfo is a powerful tool for extracting practically any useful information from a collection of your multimedia files. It works with many different file formats including most popular ones as AVI, OGG, OGM, MPEG, and MKV. All the file scanning code has been implemented from scratch. AVInfo does not rely on any external libraries to do this job and has been written in pure C. Due to that it is fast and efficient. It has a built-in scripting language called A.S.S. (AVInfo Simple Script) that is used in templates which control the output of the program. It is a "must have" tool for anyone with a huge number of multimedia files on her/his hard drives. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#469353: RT 3.8 for Debian
Hi guys, I started working on packaging up RT 3.8 for Debian on Friday. Unfortunately I've only just seen Gerardo's comment that he was working on it as well. Darn... My work so far is in a Git repository, located at: git://git.catalyst.net.nz/request-tracker.git gitweb at: http://git.catalyst.net.nz/gw?p=request-tracker.git;a=summary It installs, and works. I've so far only tested using PostgreSQL on a fresh install. I'm about to test SQLite, and I'll try doing an upgrade from my existing 3.6 install (with Pg). You can use git-buildpackage to build the .debs yourselves. They also available via apt-get if you add the repo: http://debian.etc.gen.nz lenny rt The upgrade notes still need some work.
