Bug#405795: marked as done (ITA: acx100 -- ACX100/ACX111 wireless network drivers source)
Your message dated Sun, 26 Aug 2007 10:47:03 + with message-id <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and subject line Bug#405795: fixed in acx100 20070101-1 has caused the attached Bug report to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I am talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the acx100 package. The package is in good shape, (only an irreproducible old bug) and there are a new version (2007/1/1) that must be uploaded to experimental, and another one that it's based in dscape that it's trying to enter in kernel mainline. My wireless card was broken yesterday, so I can't test it anymore. I'll sponsor this package if you need it. PopCon: 132 The package description is: This package provides the source code of the Linux drivers for wireless network cards using TI ACX100/ACX111 chips. This includes DWL-[G]520+ PCI, DWL-[G]650+ CardBus, GL-2422MP mini-PCI, DWL-120+ USB, USR5410, etc. See http://acx100.sourceforge.net/ for information about your wireless device. . In order to compile the kernel modules you need the kernel sources (or the kernel-headers for the kernel-image packages from Debian). For compile instructions look into usr/share/doc/acx100-source/README.Debian or simply use the module-assistant utility. . Please also note that the ACX100/111 chips need a firmware to be operational. You can get this firmware from the Microsoft Windows or from homepage. . This fixes problems with unicode characters in these files. . * Exposed Text.Pandoc.ASCIIMathML, since it is imported in Text.Pandoc.Readers.HTML and without it we get a linking error when using the library. . * Markdown reader: . + Added new rule for enhanced markdown ordered lists: if the list marker is a capital letter followed by a period (including a single-letter capital roman numeral), then it must be followed by at least two spaces. The point of this is to avoid accidentally treating people's initials as list markers: a paragraph might begin, "B. Russell was an English philosopher," and this shouldn't be treated as a list. Bug#406992:
Hello, I've a new module build system which should fix those module issues: * Build depens on linux-headers-2.6, which should install the latest kernel headers. * get the kernel version we are going to build for then, having a look to /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6* * create a debian/dirs from it * configure --with-linux=$version, still the version we got in /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6* * add a deps on linux-image-$version The downside is that it will work *only* if you re-upload a new revision for each new kernel package. I have to clean up a bit my debian/rules and I'll send it to you if you are interested. Thanks for your time, have a nice day. Arthur. PS: I think the binary package should be named virtualbox-ose and not virtualbox, as upstream already provides debian package and as the versions (ose and non-ose) packaged are not the same. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
