WebBoard allows publishing text notes and source code on a pastebin

Bug#430724: RFA: linux-uvc -- Linux Kernel USB Video Class module

2007-06-27 Thread Christian Perrier
> Description: Linux Kernel USB Video Class module

s/Kernel/kernel

s/Video Class/video class

> linux-uvc is a kernel module that supports some standard devices that
> implement USB Video Class.

"...that...that...". I suggest:

The linux-uvc kernel module supports some standard devices that
implement the USB video class.

> .
> Currently supports Logitech Quickcam Fusion, Logitech Quickcam Orbit,
> Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks, and Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000.

It currently includes support for the Logitech Quickcam Fusion,
Logitech Quickcam Orbit, Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks, Logitech
Quickcam Pro 5000 devices.

Indeed, I do not recommend listing what's supported in the package
description. That means this description should be changed each time
the support for a new device is added which will either:

- make them change too often
- never happen

:-)

Make sentences and use articles...:-)

I suggest:

This package is useful when using multiple operating systems in Intel
Mac systems. It contains the gptsync utility for synchronizing the MBR
partition table with the content of the GPT partition table.

Bug#429761: bananapos dead upstream

2007-06-27 Thread Tobias Richter
Hi,

I don't think packaging bananapos is worth the hassle presently.
The last beta release was prepared in 2005 and the website hasn't
been updated since then either. Additionally there were only four
post in their forum from this year, of which one ask for the next
release date and another two describe a failure to compile in etch
or Ubuntu edgy. Both posts received no reply.
I'd say the project is dead.

Tobias

HUBackup is short for Home User Backup System. As the
name implies, this is a very simple, concise and easy to use backup
application that uses the renowned and proven dar (Disk ARchive) to do
the actual archiving. Emphasis has been on providing true and reliable progress
indication throughout all operations, as well as the ability to cancel any
operation at any given point. HUBackup mainly concerns with backing up your
home folder data, allowing you to restore it in case of data loss.

I suggesting being factual. "concise and easy" isn't..:-)

"backup application for desktop users"

HUBackup main goal is backing up and restoring user data.

seems shorter to me, avoid personnalization and evidence (when one
restores data, this is very often because it was lost..:-))

Websec is a visual Web page monitoring software. However, it goes
beyond the normal functionalities offered by such software. Not only
does it detect changes based on content analysis (instead of date/time
stamp or simple textual comparison), it will email the changed page to
you with the new content highlighted.

Description: a graphical framework to construct simple UI
Kiwi is a framework and a set of enhanced PyGTK widgets designed to
make building programs with graphical interfaces both easy to write
 and easy to maintain.
 .
Kiwi consists of a set of classes and wrappers for PyGTK that were
developed to provide a sort of framework for applications. Fully
object-oriented, and roughly Smalltalk's MVC, Kiwi provides a simple,
practical way to build forms, windows and widgets that transparently
access and display your object data.
 .
Kiwi is inspired by Allen Holub's Visual Proxy.
