Bug#412473: ITP: sineshaper -- Monophonic synth plugin with two oscillators and waveshapers.

Description : Monophonic synth plugin with two oscillators and
waveshapers.

A monophonic synth plugin that sends the sound from two sine oscillators
through two sine waveshapers in series. You can control the vibrato, tremolo,
portamento, the tuning of both oscillators, the oscillator mix, and the shape
amount (total and split over both shapers). There is also an ADSR envelope
generator that can control the total shape amount and the amplification (with
controllable sensitivity for both), an LFO for the total shape amount, and a
feedback delay. The shape amount and amplification is velocity sensitive, and
the "Mod Wheel" MIDI controller is bound to the total shape amount.
 .
This is a development version, so things will probably change - don't use this
plugin in a patch or song and expect later versions to work in the same way.

PL/sh is a procedural language handler for PostgreSQL that allows you
to write stored procedures in a shell of your choice. For example,

CREATE FUNCTION concat(text, text) RETURNS text AS '
#!/bin/sh
echo "$1$2"
' LANGUAGE plsh;

The first line must be a #!-style line that indicates the shell to
use. The rest of the function body will be executed by that shell in
a separate process.

The shell script can do anything you want, but you can't access the
database. Trigger functions are also possible, but they can't change
the rows.

Greetings,

I intend to package PySparse, which is a sparse linear algebra extension
for Python by Roman Geus. I downloaded version 0.34.032 (June 22, 2005)
from http://sourceforge.net/projects/pysparse/

I may need help with a couple of things. First, this is my first python
package, and I am using python-numeric as a guide, which has many of the
same dependencies as pysparse, but will likely run into trouble and need
help along the way.

Second, I may need some advice on the license:

OF THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

I believe this allows redistribution by Debian, but can't tell whether
this restricts this package to non-free.

Please mention Authentec (the vendor) and the places where you
can find this reader (Medion MD85264 USB sensor, HP nx6125 notebook) in
the long description, so the users can find them easily.
And where does the B in AES2501B come from? The device is called
aes2501 by his vendor.

By the way: is there any pam-module which is able to use this scaner?

We are not inactive, just waiting for the GPL version, I was told was due
around February

In the meantime, please check package at

http://dict-common.alioth.debian.org/aspell-autobuildhash

which is still the non-free version. There are myspell and aspell variants.
Note that myspell package will work for etch, but not for later, because
there is a directory structure change in perpective.

Thanks for your feedback.

Bug#355230: I recommend this package be removed.

2007-02-26 Thread Brandon Barnes
I recommend this package be removed. It is incomplete, and no fun. I
have found no mention of this game anywhere else on the internet. There
is a much better, more complete alternative, freecraft, in the debian
repos.

If anyone strongly disagrees, and thinks that this game is great,
that's no skin off my back. I just think that, unless someone thinks
this package is worth any time, that it should be removed so that
devloper's/maintainers/bug-hunters will spend more time doing more
useful work for debian.

-Brandon

Bug#412626: O: babygimp

2007-02-26 Thread Kenneth Pronovici
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I am orphaning babygimp.

It doesn't work, upstream is dead and unresponsive, no one has stepped
forward to fix any of the bugs with it, and I am really not interested
in debugging nasty Perl-Tk incompatibilities. :)

I have also requested that babygimp be removed from the archive. If
someone steps forward the claim the package (unlikely) then we can close
the bug against ftp.debian.org.

The Fujitsu-Siemens P7120 seems to contain one as well.

Bug#412637: RFA: hwinfo -- Hardware identification system

2007-02-26 Thread James Vega
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the hwinfo package. I have neither the time
nor the resources to properly test and maintain this package.

The package description is:
hwinfo is the hardware detection tool used in SuSE Linux.
 .
In Debian-Edu (Skolelinux) hwinfo has shown better results than discover when
 detecting mouse, keyboard and monitor.
 .
hwinfo collects information about the hardware installed on a system. Among
others, libhd contains information about cdrom, zip, floppy, disks and
partitions, network card, graphics card, monitor, camera, mouse, sound, pppoe,
isdn, modem, printer, scanner, bios, cpu, usb, memory and smp.
 .
This package does not include the binaries hwscan, hwscand and hwscanqueue. If
you think one or more of these should be included in the package, please
contact the maintainer at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Confirmed, and I can use it with this program. Which BTW is at
http://gkall.hobby.nl/authentec.html

I'd post the beautiful fingerprint scan I just did, but that's perhaps
not a great idea. ;-)
