Bug#241600: ITP: xmms-skins -- Skins for XMMS
> On Thu, Apr 01, 2004 at 09:46:26PM -0300, Guilherme de S. Pastore wrote: >> Package: wnpp >> Severity: wishlist >> >> * Package name: xmms-skins >> Version : 0.3 >> Upstream Author : Guilherme de S. We can't assume that these skins are free software. For these to go in 'main', Debian needs licenses which grant everyone explicit permission to modify (we might be able to assume that permission to redistribute is granted because the authors uploaded them to www.xmms.org or whereever, but we can't assume that permission to modify is granted). You *must* have a DFSG-free license from each copyright holder (which in this case means each skin author -- for skins partly 'ripped' from other sources, it means the original artwork's author as well); and you must include copyright notices from *all* these authors, as well as their licenses, in the debian/copyright file. You can suggest the GPL or the 2-clause BSD license to authors. Do *not* upload a package to Debian 'main' without checking the licensing issues. >> Description : Skins for XMMS >> >> xmms-skins is a debian native package with a collection of XMMS skins, >> created by the maintainer of this package specifically for Debian with >> skins found all over the internet (specially www.xmms.org)
Bug#241981: ITP: phpldapadmin -- PHP Administrative Interface to LDAP
On Sun, Apr 04, 2004 at 01:20:06AM -0500, Dan Weber wrote: > Package: wnpp > Severity: wishlist > > * Package name: phpldapadmin There was already an ITP for this package. I intended to sponsor it, but David Segonds decided not to package it anymore. I was planing to take over his ITP but I get you can upload and maintain it. Co-maintaining make almost no sense, since looks an easy package. Bug#236690: RFS: rzip: A compression utility that works well for large files
Hello, I'm seeking a sponsor for the package rzip. rzip is very efficient in compressing large files because it has an effective buffer of 900MB - bzip2 has one of 32KB. It's slower than bzip2 and cannot be used in a pipe, but the results are worth it - see the homepage for some benchmarks. Here's the relevant information: Package name: rzip Version: 2.0 Upstream author: Andrew Tridgell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> URL: http://rzip.samba.org/ License: GPL Description: compression program for large files rzip is a compression program able to take advantage of long distance redundancies in files, allowing greater compression ratios. rzip has an effective history buffer of 900 MB. However, rzip cannot read from standard input or write to standard output. I'd be grateful to anyone who would sponsor this package. It will close wnpp bug #236690 [1]. It is available from my webpage [2], and is lintian and linda clean. Bug#187628: duke3d ITP
Hi! Any progress on this ITP? Some notes: - The upstream site in URL you provided (http://icculus.org/duke3d) doesn't contain any source code. - There's also OpenDuke (http://openduke.sourceforge.net/), which has the same authors as the GNU/Linux port "duke3d". Probably it's based on "duke3d"? I'm going to try openduke and see in what state it is. If it turns out it's decent enough to ITP, do you want me to file a separate ITP or just retitle this one? -- Robert Millan "[..] but the delight and pride of Aule is in the deed of making, and in the thing made, and neither in possession nor in his own mastery; wherefore he gives and hoards not, and is free from care, passing ever on to some new work." -- J.R.R.T., Ainulindale (Silmarillion)
