Bug#118140: ITP: libxml-xerces-perl -- Perl API to Xerces XML parser
Package: wnpp Version: N/A; reported 2001-10-30 Severity: wishlist * Package name: libxml-xerces-perl Version : 1.5.2_0 (referred as 1.5.2.0 in the package) Upstream Author : Apache Software Foundation * URL : http://xml.apache.org/xerces-p/ * License : APL 1.1 Description : Perl API to Xerces XML parser Xerces.pm is the Perl API to the Apache project's Xerces XML parser. It is implemented using the Xerces C++ API, and it provides access to most of the C++ API from Perl. Because it is based on Xerces-C, Xerces.pm provides a validating XML parser that makes it easy to give your application the ability to read and write XML data. A shared library is provided for parsing, generating, manipulating, and validating XML documents. Xerces.pm is faithful to the XML 1.0 recommendation and associated standards (DOM 1.0, DOM 2.0. SAX 1.0, SAX 2.0, Namespaces, and Schema). The parser provides high performance, modularity, and scalability. It also provides full support for Unicode. -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux oyster 2.4.13 #1 mer oct 24 10:45:19 CEST 2001 i686 Locale: LANG=C, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#118141: ITP: ldap2dns -- LDAP based DNS management system
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist http://ldap2dns.tiscover.com/ ldap2dns is a program to create DNS (Domain Name Service) records directly from a LDAP directory. It can and should be be used to replace the secondary name-server by a second primary one. ldap2dns reduces all kind of administration overhead: No more flat file editing, no more zone file editing. After having installed ldap2dns, the administrator only has to access the LDAP directory. ldap2dns supports both djbdns and BIND data files. Bug#118151: ITP: libnet-netmask-perl -- parse, manipulate and lookup IP network blocks
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist I intend to package Net::Netmask, mainly because it is a dependency of another ITP of mine: pop-before-smtp. Description: Net::Netmask parses and understands IPv4 CIDR blocks. It's built with an object-oriented interface. Nearly all functions are methods that operate on a Net::Netmask object. There are methods that provide the nearly all bits of information about a network block that you might want. There are also functions to put a network block into a table and then later lookup network blocks by IP address in that table. There are functions to turn a IP address range into a list of CIDR blocks. There are functions to turn a list of CIDR blocks into a list of IP addresses. There is a function for sorting by text IP address. Bug#118150: ITP: ezpublish -- CMS for e-commerce, e-publishing and intranets
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org Description: eZ publish is a web based application suite. It delivers functionality ranging from publishing of news, web logs and diaries, through web shop functionality like shopping carts and wishlists and forums to intranet functions like contact handling and bug reporting. The software uses caching and other optimization techniques to speed up page serving. It handles users, user preferences and user tracking through a user database and both cookie-based and non-cookie sessions. It supports statistics for page views, links followed and banner ads, both images and HTML with presentation logic. The package lends itself easily to customization, from changing the look and feel by changing templates, localizing the languages and other internationalization issues to adding new functionality. The target audience for eZ publish are e-commerce, ASP (Application Service Providers), BSP (Business Service Providers), news publishing, intranets, bug reporting, content management, discussion boards, FAQ and knowledge handling, file and image management, group ware, calendaring, polls, todo lists, appointments as well as personal web sites. Bug#118149: IT: pop-before-smtp -- watch log for pop/imap auth, notify Postfix to allow relay
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org Description: Spam prevention requires preventing open relaying through email servers. However, legit users want to be able to relay. If legit users always stayed in one spot, they'd be easy to describe to the daemon. However, what with roving laptops, logins from home, etc., legit users refuse to stay in one spot. pop-before-smtp watches the mail log, looking for successful pop/imap logins, and posts the originating IP address into a database which can be checked by Postfix, to allow relaying for people who have recently downloaded their email. Contrary to other similar tools pop-before-smtp needs no hacking in the mail daemons. On the other hand it requires the pop3/imap daemons to run on the same machine as pop-before-smtp and postfix. It was downloaded from: http://people.oven.com/bet/pop-before-smtp/ Upstream Author(s): Bennett Todd <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Copyright: pop-before-smtp is Copyright 1999, 2000, 2001 Bennett Todd. Anyone is free to use or redistribute pop-before-smtp in any way, for any purpose, free or commercially, unmodified or modified, as long as (a) the current changelog and credits aren't removed from the source, and (b) changes that are made are noted in the source, e.g. with a comment or with a changelog entry. Alternatively you are welcome to distribute pop-before-smtp under the terms of the GPL, or the terms of the BSD License, or the terms of the Perl Artistic License. - Jonas -- Jonas Smedegaard (+45 40843136) http://dr.jones.dk/~jonas/ Spiff ApS (= IT-guide dr.
