I've been searching around the Debian wiki, users' guides, etc, with no luck.
So here goes.
I run unstable at home, and have done so off and on for many years. Not
because I demand to be on the bleeding edge, but just because stable is too
stagnant and testing is too frustrating. :-) I tend to update packages
about once a week when I know I have some spare time to handle whatever
educational breakage might crop up. Using apt-listchanges helps me dodge
bullets and boulders.
Lately I've been doing those large-ish updates, then not rebooting or anything
for a day or so, then doing another update to see if there are any sudden "oh
crap, revert last change, it sets CPU on fire" uploads. Then it occurred to
me that this (seems) like what the "urgency=" field is for, and since then
been trying to figure out how best to put it to use. What I think I really
want is some way of answering the question, "Have there been any high- or
critical-urgency updates in the past day?"
Is there a tool out there to do that?
