libfop-java working

2002-04-08 Thread m2
I've been trying to get fop to work for a couple of days. I won't
tire you with an endless tirade of all the error messages I've
encountered so far.

Has any one got this working? If so could you please post the output of your
apt-show-versions, and tell me what unpackaged java related stuffed
you have installed and where you got it.

Rock solid no GUI pim?

2002-04-26 Thread m2

A couple of months ago I ditched GUI mail programs for ever. I'm now a
happy mutt user. Now I'm looking for A) a calendar program B) an
address book, that are as non graphical, stable and as versatile as
mutt. Anything that works with emacs gets a plus.

Ditching Esound, for ...

2002-06-01 Thread m2
I've been faithful to the Esound daemon for a long time. But Esound
has never been really rock solid. When at home I play mp3s on my girlfriends
macintosh. The time has come to do something about this.

What is the preferred sound solution on Debian nowadays? One
requirement is that it should be able to merge multiple sound streams
to one output, à la Esound.
