Fresh Debian Sarge Install ( no sound + keyboard )
Hi, I just installed Sarge and I found it is a real good work ! But, my onboard sound card doesn't work. ASUS P4P800-SE ( ADI AD1985 Audio Chipset ). Anyone has ever make it work and how to ? Second point, my keyboard is normally Canadian French, when i've installed XFree86, i choosed fr_CA, didn't worked too ? Any suggestions ? No, i'm trying to setup a debian server behind the IPCop, the server is plugged on the green interface and red is modem with PPPoE. Apache won't start and this is the error : "Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name" . Audio CD wont work
Hi, i tried today to play an audio cd with xmms, i always used xmms to play my mp3's . Xmms see the audio cd tracks, play them but no sound. The sound cord is plugged on my cd-rom and audio card. XServer Problem
Hi, i've posted a topic about my Pentium 100 Mhz recently, i did just not solve my problem. I have an Avance Logic Inc PCI video card and a Magitronic Screen. I've installed everything with debconf and tryed with dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 to install with and without framebuffer device. Apt error
Hi, i'm was trying something i found on internet today (http://people.brad-x.com/~diamondc/debianinstall.html) and i do an net install of base debian and then tried to follow these steps but i got an error adding a source in /etc/apt/sources.list, E: Malformed line 8 (dist) . Can someone help me ? Hi, i did search on the internet for these three "packages" and installation notes, i found them all KDE 3.2 install &packages, Gnome 2.6 install & packages and XFree86 4.2 install & packages. I just want to know if anyone did it before.. And if i need to have these 3 "packages" pre-installed ? Hi, i've downloaded 2 first cd iso of sarge today and boot with the first, i configure my location keyboard, and after when its time to initialize a hard drive, it couldnt complete this step etc.. or something that means it doesn't recognize my drive... any ideas ? I had this. Try as I might, I couldn't get it to do anything when I tried to do anything after configuring the keyboard. I installed woody and did a dist-upgrade to sarge instead. How can i dist upgrade to Sarge ? Will i'll get KDE 3.1 and Xfree86 4.3 ? Debian with Apache, php4, mysql and phpmyadmin
Hi, i've installed phpmyadmin today on my server. My server is working like a charm, so i write http://localhost/phpmyadmin in konqueror and it shows the index page of phpmyadmin. I type my username (root) and my password. But it shows me back the index page with errors. Here are the errors. Hi, i'm trying to install Debian 3.1r2 on my computer for days. After couple of days, i wondered that the problem was the HPT366 Controller on my ASUS BE6 motherboard. I don't know which kernel am I better use during the install ? linux26 or linux ? I don't know too if this is the real problem, I think so cause, the installation always halts when the disks are formatting ... Can somebody helps me please ? Thank you, Tomy
