Error upgrading console-data
On applying the recent upgrade of the console-data package I got the message: Can't use string ("hebrew") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /tmp/config.6071 line 797, line 326 console-data failed to preconfigure, with exit status 29 Does this imply something wrong with my setup? Problem with upgrading
Hi, During my latest updrade using aptitude, I get: Setting up foomatic-filters (3.0.0-2031207-1) Configuration file `/etc/foomatic/filter.conf' ==> File on system created by you or by a script. ==> File also in package provided by package maintainer. What would you like to do about it ? Your options are: [list of options] *** filter.conf (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ? but whatever I enter at the prompt (including nothing to accept the default) followed by return, it just sits there doing nothing until I kill it using -C. I would like to submit a bug report, but I am not sure which package to submit it against, can anyone please advise? Creating a patched binary package
Hi all, I wish to create and install a patched version of fetchmail. I would like to take the source package plus the patch file and produce my own binary package. set www-browser to galeon
Greetings! I have just installed the news aggregator 'Straw' and find that whenever I click on a hyperlink in it, a terminal window is opened entitled www-browser and the link is opened in Links. I would like to change this behaviour to make it open in a new tab in galeon. I have looked at update-alternatives, but the only alternatives for www-browser are Links and Lynx. I am running under Window Maker because my machine does not have the resources to run the full Gnome desktop (I'm guessing that the Gnome configuration program may let you set a default web browser). Does anyone have any ideas how to set this up? Thanks in advance. -- Paul pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature
