Open a root terminal 2. Enter the command 'tail- f /var/log/syslog' This shows you if your isdn connenction works (and other stuff) 3. You must enter a reasonable value for the nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf (for more check out 'man resolv.conf'). Your ISP should have given you a value for this. 4. Do you use pap-access-control ? This doesn't make it easier :-(. Than you need to edit the /etc/ppp/pap-secret file. The designated user in this file must correspondent with the value in the file /etc/isdn/ipppd.ippp0 5. strange warning when starting netscape
Hi specialists, when I start netscape. I got the warning 'ls: /usr/lib/netscape/473/navigator/wrapper.d: No such file or directory' It does not cause any further problems. I just want to know what it means. I'm using a new debian 2.2. I installed everything from CD. The Version of netscape is 'Netscape Lite 4.73/Export, 04-May-00; (c) 1995-2000 Netscape Communications Corp.' Any hints ? default font in Python-TKinter or Tcl/Tk
Before I switched to Debian/Potato I used RH6.1. On my old Linux I had a Python program that used the Tkinter-package as a GUI. On RH the defauld font looked good and was readable. On my Potato system I had to comment out the use of the scaled 100dpi font in the XF86Config file to make the fonts readable: # ... #FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/" # ... Hintergrund beim Anmeldebildschirm
Hallo ich habe am Montag von Jessie auf Stretch aktualisiert. Dabei habe ich kdm als Anmeldemanager beibehalten. Der Hintergrund ist jetzt eine intensiv blaue (Augenschmerzen fördernde) Fläche. Einstellungen in Kontact
Hallo ich habe am Montag von Jessie auf Stretch aktualisiert. Kontact läuft soweit bis jetzt stabil. Übernahme der alten Mails hat auch sauber funktioniert. Meinen IMAP-Zugang fürs Versenden musste ich allerdings neu machen. Was da jetzt an den Einstellungen anders ist verstehe ich nicht. Aber das ist nicht das Problem, sondern: Kontact hat links (bei mir) am Rand die Ordnerübersicht. Als zusätzliche Spalten kann man die Anzahl der gelesenen, der ungelesenen und die Größe der Mails einstellen. Das habe ich gemacht, aber nach jedem Start von Kontact muss ich das Fenster mit der Ordnerübersicht breiter ziehen um die Spalten mit den Zahlen zu sehen. An welcher Stell muss ich hier schrauben, damit das dauerhaft so bleibt, wie ich es einstelle?
