I thought that it was a really stupid mistake, somewhere in the kernel. I've had the same problem. It doesn't bother me anymore since I have mounted my disks as ext2. But, you think that it's not good to manually add an emailaddress. So that's you choice. You could write a script that does it for you, but that depends on your coding-skills. In Mutt, you can do '|' 'spammassassin -W'. Mutt will then pipe the message through spamassassin, which should whitelist it. That's all I know.
