Since then I am having issues with NetworkManager not being able to connect to WiFi because the agent isn't available after resuming from suspend. I think (but have no way to confirm) that it also failed right after the upgrade. ''' jul 18 15:35:12 testavoira NetworkManager[13003]: [1531920912.6830] device (wlp2s0): No agents were available for this request. ''' I am told that that the desktop should be the one providing the service in the desktop session (I hope I phrase this correctly). So I think that should be provided by plasma-nm, no idea how all this works as plasma-nm wasn't even upgraded in that run. Since then I have been writing my network password via $(nmcli agent) but that is rather annoying. Please reassign this bug elsewhere if you know where the issue is. Bug#921646: kdepim-runtime: akonadi_imap_resource fails to download gmail content
Package: kdepim-runtime Version: 4:18.08.3-1 Severity: important I've spend now a week trying to get may my gmail imap downloaded. I am using the standard settings from imap with imap server set to imap.gmail.com. It downloads the mails of a single year (2015) and then shows it stops suddenly After a couple of minutes it then starts the download again (starting a 0%) but cancels itself again after a couple of seconds (when it reaches 4%). AgentBase(akonadi_imap_resource_14): killed AgentBase(akonadi_imap_resource_14): Unable to connect to the IMAP server. and sometimes it also only shows: AgentBase(akonadi_imap_resource_14): Connection lost I've tried to restart akonoadi, reboot the pc, remove and readd the imap account and to completely remove the akonadi files and restart the PC. Nothing worked and it is always it this state. It is basically impossible to use kmail at the moment for me with gmail. It was working fine with Debian stretch. I am only minutes away from throwing my PC against a wall.
Bug#921678: sddm-theme-debian-maui: After a recent system update the file background-nologo.svg disappeared
Package: sddm-theme-debian-maui Version: 0.18.0-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, After a recent system update My SDDM screen lost its image and became all gray. I checked: /usr/share/sddm/themes/debian-maui/theme.conf It listed the background file: background=/usr/share/desktop-base/active-theme/login/background-nologo.svg I followed this file path and found that the file no longer existed. The only files in the login folder are: background-withlogo.svg background.svg I changed the line in the theme.conf to match: background=/usr/share/desktop-base/active-theme/login/background.svg and sddm started displaying an image again. I believe the package that was recently moved from unstable into testing updated these file: desktop-base 10.0.0 -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (2, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE= (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages sddm-theme-debian-maui depends on: ii desktop-base 10.0.0 Versions of packages sddm-theme-debian-maui recommends: ii sddm 0.18.0-1 sddm-theme-debian-maui suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- debsums errors found: debsums: changed file /usr/share/sddm/themes/debian-maui/theme.conf (from sddm-theme-debian-maui package)
Bug#913532: reproduction (uncontrolled) of bug 913532
hi konsole maintainer(s), Alison, SAME BUG: I also have this bug with konsole on Stretch: sometimes copies to "the X buffer" (this term assumes a single universal X buffer exists for a single X session; I'm just guessing) using mouse selection are ignored when pasting with the mouse. After selecting text with the mouse within a newly launched konsole, or selecting in firefox and typing "^C" ; pasting with the mouse in the buggy konsole works as expected. I first noticed this a month or so ago. Now is the second instance of this occurring for me. WORKAROUND: launching a new konsole gives bug-free behaviour in the new konsole, as Alison mentioned. (But this is annoying, because I have a lot of work going on in the buggy konsole.) DIAGNOSTICS: $ uname -smrov Linux 4.9.0-8-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.130-2 (2018-10-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux $ dpkg -l |egrep "konsole|klipper" ii konsole 4:16.12.0-4 amd64X terminal emulator ii konsole-kpart 4:16.12.0-4 amd64Konsole plugin for Qt applications ii firefox-esr 60.5.0esr-1~deb9u1 amd64Mozilla Firefox web browser - Extended Support Release (ESR) $ free -h totalusedfree shared buff/cache available Mem:15G6.0G2.0G1.7G 7.5G7.5G Swap:0B 0B 0B POSSIBLY RELATED: On my system, X session copy/pasting with the mouse, especially to firefox, requires waiting for about a second or so. Otherwise, old content is pasted. This has been the case for 6-12 months or so. NON-SOLUTIONS: Things that do not solve the bug: * opening a new tab in the same konsole does not solve the bug * Normally I use aptitude, not apt-get. I tried "'apt-get upgrade' in the konsole window" in a newly launched bug-free konsole. The selecting/pasting behaviour remained bug-free. * top menu: 1 Settings 2 Edit current profile 3 Mouse 4 Mouse middle button: 5 switch from 'Paste from selection' to 'Paste from clipboard' 6 Apply Selecting and pasting as before: same bug. * top menu: 1 Settings 2 Edit current profile 3 Mouse 4 enable 'Copy on select' 5 Apply Selecting and pasting as before: same bug. Cheers Boud

Bug#918545: marked as done (qtdeclarative-opensource-src: FTBFS on x32: mis-detected as having amd64 JIT)
Your message dated Fri, 08 Feb 2019 02:55:02 + with message-id and subject line Bug#918545: fixed in qtdeclarative-opensource-src 5.11.3-3 has caused the Debian Bug report #918545, regarding qtdeclarative-opensource-src: FTBFS on x32: mis-detected as having amd64 JIT to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what this message is talking about, this may indicate a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact ow...@bugs.debian.org immediately.) -- 918545: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=918545 Debian Bug Tracking System Contact ow...@bugs.debian.org with problems --- Begin Message --- Source: qtdeclarative-opensource-src Version: 5.11.3-2 Severity: important See also: https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=qtdeclarative-opensource-src&arch=x32&ver=5.11.3-2&stamp=1545865790&raw=0 src/qml/jsruntime/qv4global_p.h line 94 always triggers, because x32 is detected as amd64 (Q_PROCESSOR_X86 and Q_PROCESSOR_X86_64 are defined and QT_POINTER_SIZE is 8) by qtbase5-dev (src/corelib/global/qprocessordetection.h). Changing qprocessordetection to set QT_POINTER_SIZE to 4 for x32 won’t help because src/qml/jsruntime/qv4global_p.h line 91 would then misdetect it as i386. (It would still be more correct, but I don’t know if that would break things that work, for now.) I fear the best we can do is to add something around line 116 (blacklist): #if defined(__x86_64__) && defined(__ILP32__) // explicitly disable on x32 (amd64ilp32) #undef V4_ENABLE_JIT #endif --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: qtdeclarative-opensource-src Source-Version: 5.11.3-3 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of qtdeclarative-opensource-src, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 918...@bugs.debian.org, and the maintainer will reopen the bug report if appropriate.
