Bug#841502: konsole: Profile persisting
Package: konsole Version: 4:16.08.2-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I have 2 profiles saved: 'terminal' (the default) and 'mutt' (used only for this MUA). Also I have 2 shortcuts to open konsole and mutt: winkey + T for Konsole and winkey + M for mutt (I have set execute in konsole with '--profile mutt' in this case). Until I use winkey+T KDE opens the terminal, but after I use winkey+M to open mutt then winkey+T still opens mutt (into a konsole with profile 'mutt') and when I close mutt also the konsole closes. Same situation when I try to open konsole by kde menu or by alt+F2 but not if I launch konsole inside a open konsole. Right mouse -> Switch Profile doesn't work. Thanks. Control: tag -1 + upstream ¡Hola Stefano! Same situation when I try to open konsole by kde menu or by alt+F2 but not if I launch konsole inside a open konsole. I see, if you call konsole, it reuses the same konsole process that's already running and opens a new window of it (using a dbus action). The new window, in this case, uses the original command as defaults instead of the default profile. This happens when you launch the konsole desktop file (krunner and the apps menu will use it), if you call it from a command line a new konsole is launched. This is an upstream bug, could you report this issue upstream (in https://bugs.kde.org, you'll need a bugzilla user for it). If you do so, please add the url of the upstream bug to this bug. Right mouse -> Switch Profile doesn't work. This works fine for me. I'm using a shell and a Root profile (command /bin/su --login, appearance red on black). Switching profiles changes only the appearance, of course. When trying to edit the rules I get this error: Sieve operation failed. The server responded: require "fileinto"; This has been reported upstream here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364394 Which seems to be caused by a broken fix of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328246 Cherry-picking upstream commit abc329d2b4d3a8efb489b0aa8dfb9cc2d2da9472 [1] (which reverts commit aa295b6cf15ee67a980b2858ccad6e6e8e769585 [2]) does indeed fix the problem. So I'm afraid this is not a Qt5 bug, but lack of proper support for XKEYBOARD (and thus Qt5 apps) in VNC servers/clients. I'm marking this as wontfix because it will never get "fixed" from the Qt side. I suggest you to open the proper bugs to your VNC servers/clients. Comments regarding prison-kf5_5.27.0~git20160918-1_amd64.changes
It's not a problem from an FTP team perspective, but you might mention to upstream that cmake/COPYING-CMAKE-SCRIPTS isn't needed in the upstream tarball since both of the CMake scripts have the license in the individual file (which I understand is the preferred method for KDE projects now). Scott K

Bug#613691: marked as done (konqueror: does not open file with non-breakable spaces in filename)
Your message dated Fri, 21 Oct 2016 20:57:31 +0200 with message-id and subject line konqueror: does not open file with non-breakable spaces in filename has caused the Debian Bug report #613691, regarding konqueror: does not open file with non-breakable spaces in filename to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what this message is talking about, this may indicate a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact ow...@bugs.debian.org immediately.) -- 613691: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=613691 Debian Bug Tracking System Contact ow...@bugs.debian.org with problems --- Begin Message --- Package: konqueror Version: 4:4.4.5-2 Severity: normal After clicking on file which has non-breakable spaces (\302\240) in its name, the application associated to the file type gets the filename broken (by the spaces) into multiple command-line arguments instead of getting single argument containing the whole filename (including the \302\240s). The application then only tries to open all the (non-existent) pieces of the filename. The same issue seems to occur in Dolphin. Thanks in advance.
