Bug#841502: konsole: Profile persisting

2016-10-21 Thread Stefano
Package: konsole
Version: 4:16.08.2-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have 2 profiles saved: 'terminal' (the default) and 'mutt' (used only for
this MUA).

Also I have 2 shortcuts to open konsole and mutt: winkey + T for Konsole
and winkey + M for mutt (I have set execute in konsole with '--profile
mutt' in this case).

Until I use winkey+T KDE opens the terminal, but after I use winkey+M to
open mutt then winkey+T still opens mutt (into a konsole with profile
'mutt') and when I close mutt also the konsole closes.

Same situation when I try to open konsole by kde menu or by alt+F2 but not
if I launch konsole inside a open konsole.

Right mouse -> Switch Profile doesn't work.

Thanks.

Stefano

I see, if you call konsole, it reuses the same konsole process that's already
running and opens a new window of it (using a dbus action). The new window, in
this case, uses the original command as defaults instead of the default
profile. This happens when you launch the konsole desktop file (krunner and
the apps menu will use it), if you call it from a command line a new konsole
is launched.

This is an upstream bug, could you report this issue upstream (in
https://bugs.kde.org, you'll need a bugzilla user for it).

If you do so, please add the url of the upstream bug to this bug.

Right mouse -> Switch Profile doesn't work.

This works fine for me. I'm using a shell and a Root profile (command
/bin/su --login, appearance red on black). Switching profiles changes only
the appearance, of course.

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Hi,

Managing sieve scripts from kmail is currently broken. When trying to edit
the rules I get this error:

Sieve operation failed.
The server responded:
require "fileinto";

This has been reported upstream here:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364394

Which seems to be caused by a broken fix of
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328246

Cherry-picking upstream commit abc329d2b4d3a8efb489b0aa8dfb9cc2d2da9472 [1]
(which reverts commit aa295b6cf15ee67a980b2858ccad6e6e8e769585 [2]) does
indeed fix the problem.

So it would be great if ether a new upstream version with this fix included
could be uploaded or if the fix can be backported to the current version.

Package: phonon-backend-vlc
Version: 0.9.0-1
Severity: wishlist

The vlc packaging now split the plugins from the binaries so it's possible to
depend only on the plugins. Depending on what phonon-backend-vlc uses, please
switch the Depends on vlc to vlc-plugin-base (audio outputs, almost all access
plugins, codecs, muxers, etc) and if required

- vlc-plugin-video-outputs (video output plugins)
- vlc-plugin-video-splitter (video splitter plugins)
- vlc-plugin-visualization (audio visualization plugins)

> This ticket also has some nice explanations why Qt5 has this issue
> and Qt4 doesn't (e.g. the preference of libxkbcommon over xlib in
> Qt5).

So I'm afraid this is not a Qt5 bug, but lack of proper support for XKEYBOARD
(and thus Qt5 apps) in VNC servers/clients.

I'm marking this as wontfix because it will never get "fixed" from the Qt
side. I suggest you to open the proper bugs to your VNC servers/clients.

Kinds regards, Lisandro.

Bug#814959: Keyboard mapping broken with Qt5 apps in TightVNC, possibly due to missing XKEYBOARD extension

Aparentely turbovnc [1], (which started as a tightvnc fork) has added the
missing RANDR and XKEYBOARD extensions.

Disclaimer: this is not packaged, I haven't tested it, nor I've checked it's
openness. But if anyone has the time to work on this, please consider
retitling #700517.

This package fails to build with GCC 6. GCC 6 has not been released
yet, but it's expected that GCC 6 will become the default compiler for
stretch.

Note that only the first error is reported; there might be more. You
can find a snapshot of GCC 6 in experimental. To build with GCC 6,
you can set CC=gcc-6 CXX=g++-6 explicitly.

You may be able to find out more about this issue at

Comments regarding prison-kf5_5.27.0~git20160918-1_amd64.changes

2016-10-21 Thread Scott Kitterman
It's not a problem from an FTP team perspective, but you might mention to
upstream that cmake/COPYING-CMAKE-SCRIPTS isn't needed in the upstream tarball
since both of the CMake scripts have the license in the individual file (which
I understand is the preferred method for KDE projects now).

You are lucky :)

The only difference between the 2 profiles is the dimension of the window:

Package: ark
Version: 4:4.14.2-2
Severity: normal
Tags: patch,fixed-upstream

When a compressed link is opened in Konqueror using the ark kpart, the
entire konqui instance will crash if the kpart is closed (by back-arrow
or by closing the tab).

To reproduce:
Go to a page like http://opencores.com/project,can,overview
Right-click on "Latest version: download" and select "open in new tab".
Confirm "Open with Ark".
When the tab is opened, close it.

Observed behaviour: konqui crashes

Expected behaviour: tab closes and konqui returns to the other tab.

It is a complete pain in the backside that Konqui crashes every time

The same patch also seems to fix #770840 concerning nested archives.

Dear Maintainer,

Dolphin's on-line documentation, displayed in KDE's help application, states
that changing the directory in the Dolphin's Terminal Panel will not affect
Dolphin's GUI view. This is incorrect. Changing the directory in the terminal
*does* update the GUI view.

Here is a patch to fix (at least the English version of) the problem:

Package: konqueror
Version: 4:4.4.5-2
Severity: normal

After clicking on file which has non-breakable spaces (\302\240)
in its name, the application associated to the file type gets the
filename broken (by the spaces) into multiple command-line
arguments instead of getting single argument containing
the whole filename (including the \302\240s).
The application then only tries to open all the (non-existent)
pieces of the filename.

The same issue seems to occur in Dolphin.

Thanks in advance.

Package: quassel-client
Version: 0.7.3-1
Severity: important

client crashes randomly, backtrace seems to suggest that it's something deep
in the Qt's webkit library. To make stuff more interesting I can't get symbols
from
quassel-client (even after rebuilding it locally to get debug symbols). Probably
should be reassigned to the qtwebkit package but I'll leave it to the maintainer
to decide.

The new version of kmail doesn't prompt for a passphrase anymore when attempting
to sign messages. Instead it immediately gives me an error stating I supplied a
bad passphrase. Marking this as important since I think being able to sign your
messages is very important.

Bug#841663: qcachegrind: Manpage missing

2016-10-21 Thread Andrea Stacchiotti
Package: qcachegrind
Version: 4:16.08.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Title says it all.
Even putting in `kcachegrind`'s manpage (after a rename) would be more than
enough.

Thanks.
