Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
I upgraded from Kmail 4.4.11 to 4.10.5 and tried to use it to access an IMAP
server. Server is courier-imap 4.10.0-20120615-1+b1 and still works fine from
Icedove.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

   * What was the outcome of this action?
Network dump follows:
A000211 SELECT "INBOX/FOLDER"
A000211 NO Mailbox does not exist, or must be subscribed to.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Network dump from Icedove follows
3 select "INBOX.FOLDER"

Package: kdepim-runtime
Version: 4:4.11.5-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/akonadi_kcal_resource

On very slow connections I sometimes get TCP (or SSL) timeouts, followed by a
messagebox.

On "Abort" the process gets into some loop, and rapidly fills all memory (up to
the ulilmit).

I could stop it via gdb; setting a breakpoint in "malloc" gave the attached
backtrace.

I'll try to keep it in GDB; if there are questions (RSN), I might be able to
report about the current process state.

Bug#735261: mutiple upstream bugs

2015-01-14 Thread Shai Berger
Hi Michael,

Debian developers get to call the severity of bugs in general, and the
criticality for a specific release in particular.

However, the problem reported here is not a usability problem. If a mail
client losing record of which mails have been read and which haven't isn't
"non-serious data loss", I can't tell what is.

Respectfully,

Shai.
