Hi! Thanks for asking. Unless it is a matter that requires urgent attention from the Debian packagers, filing them in KDEs BTS only is preferred. It is not bugs that we will fix in debian, but bugs that should be fixed by the application developers who looks at KDE BTS and not anywhere else. By filing these bugs in both places, the Debian packagers need to remember to close the bugs as well (which we sometimes forget, as finding the right ones among the ~1000 open bugs we have to search thru not always works) Urgent attention would be bugs that in Debian BTS would be filed with serious, grave or critical severities. /Sune -- How may I remove the desktop from Flash or from Photoshop XP or from the preferences within Office XP? Please consider interacting with translators when introducing/modifying new debconf templates
Hello, I just noticed new or modified debconf templates appearing for this package. I would like to suggest you to consider calling for debconf templates review AND translation updates when you introduce new debconf templates or modify the existing templates in a package or, if you prefer, to send a call for translations after uploading the first version that introduces new templates or templates changes. This will be picked up by the debian-i18n contributors for your package *this time*, but please read the following for future reference. 1) Get your debconf templates reviewed -- The Debian i18n contributors have developed a set of suggestions for the writing style of debconf templates, to give them an overall consistency all around Debian. These writing style suggestions are explained in the Developers Reference. Lintian also warns about common writing style concerns. You should anyway consider asking in debian-l10n-engl...@lists.debian.org for a review of your debconf templates. This should be done by sending the original templates file(s), which are generally named debian/*templates to debian-l10n-engl...@lists.debian.org. It is suggested that you use a Subject field that the debian-l10n-english participants have normalized, namely: Subject: [TAF] templates:/// Replace "" by you package name and "" by the name of your templates file. Someone will pick up the review to do, handle it, and finally send you a bug report with the suggested templates. If you want, you can ask for being CC'ed to the various discussions when the templates are reviewed. 2) Install po-debconf - If you test-build your package on your system, you shoud already have it. Otherwise, consider apt-get installing it. it will bring the needed utility. 3) Call for new translations As soon as the templates have been reviewed, you can ask Debian translators for new translations: Just go to your package's build tree and use: $ podebconf-report-po --call This will propose you a generic mail which is to be sent to debian-i...@lists.debian.org and call for new translations. This utility will mention existing translations to avoid duplicate work. It will also attach the needed material to this mail. Please also think about giving a deadline to translators. We like deadlines..:-) 4) Always call for translation updates before uploading --- (of course only when you change the debconf templates!) If your package already includes debconf translations (ie *.po files in debian/po), please consider calling for translation updates if you happen to change something in the templates...or just in case when you release a new version. This is done with the following command: $ podebconf-report-po This will build private mails to translators (ie people listed in "Last-Translator" in the PO files) for translations that are incomplete. These mails will included the needed PO file for each translator. -- -- signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Bug#534229: kopete: Yahoo protocol still broken in LENNY
hi, a friend of mine stumbled upon this patch http://launchpadlibrarian.net/33034724/kopete_yahoo_update_login.patch posted by Doru at an ubuntu forum (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/kdenetwork/+bug/391763). I downloaded it and it applied successfully. the patched source compiled successfully, but I haven't tested it yet due to text only remote access. Bug#550297: ktouch: Colemak letters not marked correctly
Package: ktouch Version: 4:4.3.1-1 Severity: normal When running a lesson with the Colemak keyboard layout, the keyboard is displayed correctly, but which key to type is marked wrong. For example, if the next letter is "r", ktouch highlights the "p" key. The "p" key on Colemak is where the "r" key is on QWERTY. So it is as if ktouch has changed the display of the keys, but not its internal mapping. The DVORAK layout works fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ktouch depends on: ii kdebase-runtime 4:4.3.1-1 runtime components from the offici ii kdelibs5 4:4.3.1-1 core libraries for all KDE 4 appli ii libc6 2.9-25 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libqt4-xml4:4.5.2-2 Qt 4 XML module ii libqtcore44:4.5.2-2 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.5.2-2 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++64.4.1-4The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ktouch recommends no packages.
