Hi!

I can't reproduce it here, so if you could do the following:

study /var/log/dpkg.log for the packages you installed recently and maybe even
identify the package that provides the data that makes kbuildsycoca crash.

install kdelibs-dbg and reproduce the crash and send the debug log with that
package installed

Hi!

can you try with a reduced patch like the one in my previous email to see if
Zsolt Rizsanyi is correct in his analysis? Then I will do my best to get it
committed to debian.

I would like not to break backwards compability (the full patch), if it is not
needed.

Bug#463567: kdebase: kxkb crashes X11

Hi,

starting kxkb or applying any changes in the keyboard layout kcm crashes

That one looks more correct than Sune's other patch, I'll try this one.

Which version is this against? My portable.cpp has

if (p.exists() && p.open(IO_ReadOnly)) {

and

else if (f.exists() && f.open(IO_ReadOnly)) {

instead of the plainer version in the patch.

Bug#463567: kdebase: kxkb crashes X11

2008-02-01 Thread Andreas Pakulat
Hi,

just wanted to add a little piece: Looking back at the event when I had
the first X11 crash it seems this problem can lock people out of their
KDE session completely.

The first time this happened I simply logged into KDE, KDE loaded and
when it was nearly done it just crashed.

Thinking about this a bit, I think the reason was that my X11 config
used "de" keyboard layout, while I had configured "en" in the layout kcm
(i.e. kxkb).

I couldn't test setxkbmap in write-mode yet, will do so on monday and
see if that also triggers the crash.

eigen override disparity

2008-02-01 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

libeigen-dev_1.0.5-2_all.deb: package says section is libdevel, override says
libs.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.
