Bug#435863: libxine1-kde: Arts support for xine
Package: libxine1-kde Version: 1.1.6-2 Severity: normal Since several weeks, each time I run aptitude dist-upgrade, aptitude wants to remove libxine1-kde because it's no more compatible with the current version of libxine1. However, it seeems that it's the only package which provides an arts output plugin for xine and amarok. There is another package (libarts1-xine) which is supposed to provide this capability but it doesn't seem to be the case. So, how can we keep arts support for xine ? Do we need to stay with libxine1-1.1.6 or is there another way ? Bug#436164: Will be fixed in KDE4
The xpdf in kpdf right now is 3.02, incompatible with 3.01, which is the base of poppler up to 0.5 and thus can't be easily changed. When poppler 0.6 comes out it should be easy to patch kpdf to work against that. Lenny will surely ship with KDE4, which includes a new document viewer which replaces kpdf and which uses poppler instead of shipping an internal xpdf copy. -- Warp Networks | [EMAIL PROTECTED]| http://warp.es Debian| [EMAIL PROTECTED] | http://www.debian.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Pino Toscano is one of the upstream kpdf developers - and he has a couple of questions in that bug report. It would be nice if you could try to answer them. Bug#436265: Use-Last-Folder Mode is always enabled?
Package: kget Version: 3.5.7-3 Severity: normal I am using kget on Debian unstable/experimental on KDE. Whenever I use it through its konqueror integration or the "Drop Target" as a download manager it starts downloading to the last folder used. From what I understand it should ask for the folder to save to if "Use-Last-Folder Mode" is disabled and no default folders are specified for this file extension. I can remember that the behaviour was once different, but has been broken for a number of versions here. I've attached my ~/.kde/share/config/kgetrc.
