Re: KDE 3.5.0 final packages now on alioth
Upgrade ok, with a very minor annoyance about kminipager setting [1], konsole missing previous font setup (but this happens everytime I do an upgrade - did not found an opened bug report about that although I guess this is not a new issue) and kontact crashing until I deleted my ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/imap (I use only imap - did not checked yet if this crash is related to yet posted bugs about kmail in 3.5.0). Thanks a lot for the great work; al in all I am very happy! Cheers, JD. Bug#342792: konqueror: sometimes leaves out contents from rendering
Package: konqueror Severity: normal Hi, This applies to all konqueror versions starting 3.4, including official Debian and inofficial alioth versions up to the current 3.5.0-1 from alioth. Sometimes, konqueror does not render a web page completley. It just leaves out some parts of the page and resumes somewhere lower on the page. This happens especially often with my own home page, http://www.zugschlus.de/, and cannot be reproduced. When the HTML source is inspected, the source is complete. Using Firefox on the same system doesn't show this misbehavior. If there is anything I can help in debugging, please say so. Bug#342692: kdelibs-bin: kcmshell reports bogus battery power statistics
reassign 342692 klaptopdaemon forwarded 342692 http://bugs.kde.org/89551 tags 342692 upstream stop On Friday 09 December 2005 09:48, Branden Robinson wrote: > At any rate, on my battery-less desktop system, I get a warning on every > KDE startup that my battery is low, and the battery monitor wrongly > reports that I have a battery (which is always empty and never charging). > > The battery power level is reported as the highly bogus value -2^32%. This looks quite like upstream bug #89551. It seems that there is a ppc kernel issue which results in programs thinking that the system has a battery, and grabbing a nonsensical value. There are work-arounds, however, though it would appear that klaptopdaemon hasn't yet implemented one. KDE 3.4.2 kdeaddons
I was just trying to find out if you are planning to move kde 3.4.3 up to testing soon, or if you have plans to have kdeaddons 3.4.2 in place soon. I prefer to use KDE and well kdeaddons is required but not available. thanks -- "Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are mored disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security." --- Thomas Jefferson
