Changes: kdepim (4:3.3.2-3) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
  * KDE_3_3_BRANCH update.
  * Move kleopatra to main, now that gnupg2 is in the archive.
Closes: #281689, #300499.
  * Update kmail/kleopatra dependencies accordingly.
  * Set urgency to medium to hopefully get these changes into sarge.
  * Add Recommends on procmail to kmail, which is needed for fetching
mbox mail.
  * Tighten libtool build dependency. This closes half of #285882,
while the other half is really a kdelibs issue.
  * Include the GFDL in debian/copyright, since the handbooks are
licensed under it.
  * Update the list of licenses.

Your package contains new components which requires manual editing of
the override file. It is ok otherwise, so please be patient. New
packages are usually added to the override file about once a week.

You may have gotten the distribution wrong. You'll get warnings above
if files already exist in other distributions.

yeah that setting is really odd.

since x-window-syste-core (or the other one, i can't remember) depends
upon ttf-bitstream-vera, maybe we should make them + antialiasing the
default.

well, I've set the right Cc: so that the debian KDE crew (that I'm part
of) would discuss that.

so you can consider that beeing heard. now we'll see if we really wan't
that or not (even if I can't see issues with that)

hmmm, in fact, the good idea would be to use the fontconfig : serif
sans-serif and monospace defaults.

those should be quite sensible, and they *should* work on every host,
envery encoding. else you may want to bug fontconfig maintainer to ask
him to choose some more sensible settings.

Please no -- ttf-bitstream-vera (although very nice font) is useless for me
because it does not support any characters outside of ISO 8859-1 area.

Package: kuickshow

Please let me know which additional information I have to provide, and via which channel.

Cheers, Jan

For starters, you should definitely not be reporting in non-English...

Package: kleopatra

The package should at least be installable when it is in the Debian archive,
even if it is a contrib package.

# apt-get install kleopatra

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kleopatra: Depends: gpgsm but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

There is no such package as gpgsm and it is not listed in permitted fake
packages (/org/ftp.debian.org/testing/data/testing/FauxPackages).

Package: kleopatra
Version: 4:3.3.0-3
Severity: wishlist

after the latest kdepim upload, two things have happened:

(a) the gnupg2 source package by Matthias Urlichs now generates a
standalone gpgsm package

(b) the gnupg2 source package has been uploaded to debian (is
currently in NEW)

this bug is a remainder to, when NEW processing for gnupg2 happens:

1. move back kleopatra from contrib to main
2. don't depend on gnupg2, but instead on gpgsm

also, I think the dependency on gnupg-agent could/should be dropped
  (perhaps moved into kmail's suggests?).

  thanks,

While it would have been nice if he had translated the dpkg messages where
the error is for us, they are pretty similar, and he did write the rest of
his e-mail in English.

The error appears to be:
> /var/cache/apt/archives/libkdenetwork2_4%3a3.3.2-2_i386.deb (--unpack):
> poging tot overschrijven van `/usr/share/apps/kconf_update/kpgp-
> 3.1-upgrade-address-data.pl ', wat ook
> in pakket libkleopatra0a zit

which seems to be that libkdenetwork2_4:3.3.2-2_i386.deb is trying to
overwrite /usr/share/apps/kconf_update/kpgp-3.1-upgrade-address-data.pl
which is in package libkleopatra0a.

thanks

I fixed the libtool part of this bug, but the libart-2.0-dev
dependency comes from kdelibs4-dev, so I'm reassigning it.

Bug#303138: kmail: Trying to use / character in folder names makes odd error message.

2005-04-04 Thread Alexander Hvostov
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.3.2-2
Severity: normal

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Trying to create a folder with a slash ('/') character in it will produce
an error message "No such file or directory". This is terribly obscure
and confusing; my mom tried this and had no idea what had happened.

I recommend a less strange error message be produced when trying to use
filesystem-illegal characters in folder names.
