Kopete can be crashed simply by clicking the connect all/disconnect all
buttons four or five times. It happens when there is a time delay as
well, so if you want to reconnect to a network more than a few times
you'll have to restart kopete. I am using one MSN account and one ICQ
account. kcrash says:

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents cr=

Bug#290617: kmail: KMail crashes when deleting mails, but only after they have been saved to a file

2005-01-15 Thread Onno Kortmann
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.3.1-3
Severity: important

Hi,

my newest version of KMail crashes when I try to delete mails. But it
does this only after I have saved the messages (context menu|Save as...)
to a file on my harddisk.

The earlier version from testing didn't show this behaviour.

Best regards,

Onno

Hello,

I'm merging both reports concerning the error message "KDEInit could not
launch '/usr/games/foo'", which seem to be different manifestations of
the same underlying problem. The bug has also been forwarded upstream.

Cheers,
Christopher Martin

I guess that new Debian policy uses /usr/games for game binaries.
This is reflected in /etc/profile. But it does not have any effect
on KDE session started from kdm (bug #211953).

In my opinion the default KDM user path
/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin
is wrong - it should include /usr/games

Bug#290547: libarts1: Troubled system-sound with KDE 3.3.1 on testing

2005-01-15 Thread Dirk Salva
For me among other things it seems to be a problem of cooperation with
the Debian kernel I am using (Linux 2.6.8-1-386):

This problem seems to disappear with Kernel 2.4.27-1-k6 which I have
as rescue-Kernel on the machine.

But this problem

still remains:-( Perhaps a problem with kmix?

Furthermore I need Kernel 2.6 in case of other reasons.

ciao, Dirk

Bug#266106: kdm: The keyboard problem but not the console number one

2005-01-15 Thread Sebastian Ryborz
I have the same problem ... couldn't fix it so far...

Tried to use xdm instead of kdm but the result was the same..no result
;)

The keyboard works besides used within initial X.
I was hard-stopping some services during startup using the keyboard..so
it works fine until X starts.
