Bug#470405: mdb-export: '-S' has no effect

2008-03-10 Thread jasen
Package: mdbtools
Version: 0.5.99.0.6pre1.0.20051109-4
Severity: normal

passing the '-S' option to 'mdb-export' did not sanitize the names in
the produced CSV header line. In particular spaces were not translated to
underscores.

The documentation suggests it should.

'-S' appears to work correctly with 'mdb-schema'

Bug#470413: mdb-schema: postgres produces invalid sql

2008-03-10 Thread jasen
Package: mdbtools
Version: 0.5.99.0.6pre1.0.20051109-4
Severity: normal

mdb-schema produces invalid DDL for postgres unless -S is specified

Table-names and column-names must be enclosed in
double quotes ( " 0x22 ) where case is significant or spaces or other
special characters are used.

if MDBs are not case sensitive for names (I'm no Access expert) then
the names should probably be lowercased as postgresql is case
sensitive when quotes are used (and lowercases when they aren't)

Actually it doesn't work even with -S specified if someone uses a name that
starts with a digit!

Also I note that single character mdb columns are being converted to char(2);

Also I note that postgres constraints appear to follow a similar syntax to the
oracle ones.

Also mdb-tables doesn't seem to support -S (not that it would likely be a
useful feature)
so here the man page is incorrect.

Bug#470414: mdbtools: mdb-export emits "" for null

2008-03-10 Thread jasen
Package: mdbtools
Version: 0.5.99.0.6pre1.0.20051109-4
Severity: normal

when producing csv mdb-export emits "" on encountering null date fields.
"" is not a valid date. emitting and empty field might be better (ie emit no
quotes)

Bug#311047: cooledit: the colour of the cursor coordinates (row, col) makes it hard to read on the grey border

2005-05-27 Thread Jasen Betts
Package: cooledit
Version: 3.17.1-3.1
Severity: minor

The digits for row and column position come up yellow (colour 26)
on the light grey lower border part of the edit window, this is very
hard to read, and I see no options to change it to a different
colour number or to change the border colour.

Bug#500684: bitcollider: doesn't seem to work with iceape

2008-09-30 Thread Jasen Betts
Package: bitcollider
Version: 0.6.0-1
Severity: important

$ BROWSER=/usr/bin/iceape  bitcollider Trafficcam.wmv
Trafficcam.wmv: ok.
Information submitted. Thank you!
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

just pops up an 'about:blank' page like if it was given no URL.

also doesn't work with epiphany, or elinks...

it seems to be leaving the command-line blank instead of putting some
sort of URL there.

the default browser is netscape (probably a poor choice on debian)
should probably default to 'sensible-browser' instead of 'netscape'

but still it shold do something useful if set correctly.

Bug#446209: gdk-imlib11: all fallbacks failed on a 16bpp bmp file

2007-10-11 Thread Jasen Betts
Package: gdk-imlib11
Version: 1.9.14-31
Severity: normal

all fallbacks failed on a bmp file.

The GIMP, and imagemagick load the file OK,
netpbm complains "Unrecognized bits per pixel in BMP file header: 16"
xzgv tells me to report a bug aginst gdk-imlib. (which isn't installed, but
gdk-imlib11 is)

should I send a sample? (~500K)

Is it another bug that the error message has the package name wrong?
(gdk-imlib vs gdk-imlib11)
