Bug#504283: egroupware adoption or removal?

2009-07-29 Thread Thomas Viehmann

Hi everyone (formerly) interested in egroupware,

egroupware seems to be in need for attention

  #526878
 [egroupware-wiki] egroupware-core sets open_basedir which
 disables hook_config_validate.inc.php (egroupware-wiki) sanity
 check
  Date: Mon, 4 May 2009 08:15:01 UTC

  #504283
 CVE-2007-3215: phpmailer issue (embedded code-copy)
  Date: Sun, 2 Nov 2008 12:33:01 UTC

It would seem that egroupware should either be adopted and fixed for
squeeze or removed. Shipping it as an orphaned package sounds like a bad
idea.

Kind regards

T.

Bug#177535: Suggestions for resolution of 177535

2004-08-18 Thread Thomas Viehmann
retitle 177535 Clarify description and add package suggestions
thanks

Hi.

I suggest to change
 [GnuCash description]
 .
This package adds support for hbci, a home banking standard used in
 Germany.

to

Description: HBCI (Homebanking Computer Interface) module for GnuCash
This GnuCash addon provides access to HBCI homebanking functionality
integrated into the GnuCash accounting framework.
HBCI is a protocol supported by many German Banks.
  .
  [Maybe a gnucash description here]

In addition, I propose adding

Suggests: libopenhbci-plugin-ddvcard, chipcard-tools

for the package gnucash-hbci.
Rationale: Many, but not all, users will need these packages in order to
access the chipcards used for user identification.

Kind regards

Thomas

Bug#240992: This is a feature request rather than a bug...

2004-08-18 Thread Thomas Viehmann
package gnucash

retitle 240992 Please link against libktoblzcheck1
thanks

Hi.

This is a feature request, I'm retiteling it and adjusting the severity.
GnuCash's HBCI module can do checking of account numbers if compiled
against libktoblzcheck (by adding libktoblzcheck1-dev to the
build-dependencies).
Sounds like a useful and easy thing to me, I actually tested it, too.

Kind regards

2008-06-15 Thread Thomas Viehmann
Hi Pierre,

unfortunately, the debian/copyright is broken by now,
missing e.g. Martin Krafft's rights on some script.

Kind regards

Bug#491485: debian/copyright missing RSA copyright statement and license

2008-07-19 Thread Thomas Viehmann
Package: ftpmirror
Version: 1.96+dfsg-6
Severity: serious

Hi,

during preparation of an NMU to reintroduce ftpmirror, I noticed that
the debian/copyright of ftpmirror is insufficient: It misses the
copyright statement and license for the MD5 algorithm.
Attached is the diff without the bug number.
Given the package still has to go through NEW and the freeze is
imminent, I'd suggest you either upload in the next two days or OK the NMU.

Kind regards

Probably because it has been removed. :(

How important is apt-listbugs for users of stable? I don't think stable
would have a fast changing set of RC bugs or packages.
