Bug#121240: Debian Bug report logs - #121240 xgdvi: Fonts broken on a random default installation
The file you mentioned is a part of the dvilib2 package. Could you send me in output of dpkg -l dvilib2 xgdvi and dpkg -L dvilib2 xgdvi (notice that the first command has small L and the second one has large L). Thanks. Bug#407505: xgdvi: please add versioned dependency on dvilib2
Package: xgdvi Version: 1.2.4-6 While checking bug #121240, the user upgraded xgdvi without upgrading dvilib2, which caused problems (details bellow). Adding a versioned dependency will solve this problem. Bug#427198: #427198 tex-guy - FTBFS: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ldvilib2
Hi Hirotsugu, tex-guy is reported [0] to fail to build from sources (FTBFS in short). From the log file [1] it seems the reason is /usr/lib/libkpathsea.la: grep: /usr/lib/libkpathsea.la: No such file or directory /bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/libkpathsea.la: No such file or directory libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libkpathsea.la' is not a valid libtool archive make[2]: *** [libdvilib2.la] Error 1 I found that libkpathsea4-dev have dropped [2] the file, and only provide /usr/lib/libkpathsea.a So: 1. I that OK for tex-guy? 2. Can you send me a patch to work around this issue? Thanks.
