Bug#755149: poedit: does not switch between source panel and translation panel anymore
Package: poedit Version: 1.5.4-2 Severity: important Tags: upstream Previously the following workflow was possible: - scroll to source entry for translation - TAB - enter translation - TAB - scroll to another entry for translation - TAB - translation - TAB - scroll to ... Recently TAB was modified to insert a TAB rather than switch panels between source and translation. There are two potential workarounds, both of which do not quite work, however: 1) - scroll to source entry for translation - TAB - enter translation - hit CTRL-ENTER => does not work (it does not: mark the entry as done and move on to the next entry) It rather ignores the CTRL and acts like ENTER only. 2) - scroll to source entry for translation - TAB - enter translation - hit ALT-G-D => this DOES invoke "done with entry and go to next entry" However, focus stays in the translation window (ready for translation of the next entry). Note how this does NOT recreate the initial workflow: it does not allow scrolling to the next entry *desired for translation* -- which may not be the sequentially next one. In fact, there is currently NO way to use the above keyboad-only workflow because short of mouse-clicking there is no (obvious ?) way of returning focus to the source panel at all. Oh, and it doesn't honor the preferences - editor - always change focus to text entry field setting, which I did test, of course. The CTRL- shortcuts don't work either. It seems wxgtk3 needs another way of checking for modifiers when keys are pressed. Bug#556391: poedit: wish: sync with Launchpad
Package: poedit Version: 1.4.2-5 Severity: wishlist I know this is asking for arbitrary functionality but oh well :-) It'd be lovely if poedit could sync with translations done be translators on Launchpad. By that I mean it would download a .po file from Launchpad and merge it with the loaded catalog.
