Bug#484738: transcriber: Transcriber can't run

2008-06-05 Thread Jean-Philippe Georget
Package: transcriber
Version: 1.5.1.1-1
Severity: grave

Hi,

I have used Transcriber for 1 month and it have worked very well.

After upgrading my system today (testing), Transcriber can't run
anymore except for showing a dialog box for choosing a file. After
selection of a wav file (or click on the cancel button), the window
disappear.

When I try to launch "Transcriber filename.trs", I see very very
briefly its window then it also disappears.

There is no message on the screen when it "crashes". I have tried to
reinstall the package but it doesn't work better.

Thanks for your attention
Jean-Philippe

Bug#484738: Problem "solved" but I don't know why

2008-06-06 Thread Jean-Philippe Georget
Hi,

I have rebooted 2 times my system to see if there was a problem coming
from my important upgrade but it didn't worked.

So I tried to install tcl8.5, tk8.5 (with and without *-dev) packages
and it has worked. Then I have uninstalled and purged all these
packages and it works now...

I don't understand why it works even if my system seems to be in the
same state than before all this stuff... :-(
