Bug#448360: Doesn't deal correctly with MIT-SHM extension not supporting shared pixmaps

Hi,

after some recent update, imlib stopped working completely for me on
Alpha (any image is shown only as blank), seen e.g. in xteddy or
qvwm. However, this patch doesn't fix it. Is it working for you at the
moment?
