Package: drsync Version: 0.4-1 Severity: minor File: /usr/share/man/man1/drsync.pl.1.gz Add 'rsync(1)' to a SEE ALSO section. Also in rsync made the majority of the work, so rsync is required in both sides of the synchronization. drsync is required only in the caller side. s/made/does/ In First, it loads the file-list from the file, which is specified by the "--state-file" command-line argument. say what 'it' refers to. P.S., also mention uses for just 1/2 of the solution. I.e., running drsync only in one direction.
Bug#272548: drsync: assumes second argument is a directory
Package: drsync Version: 0.4-1 Severity: minor Here we see that a local test that would work with plain rsync, $ date>a; rsync a b doesn't work with drsync: $ date>a; drsync.pl --state-file=c a b sh: line 1: cd: b: No such file or directory Executing: rsync --update --existing --rsh=rsh a b It turns out that drsync assumes the second argument is a directory -- so it is not truly using the same rules as rsync.
