Dear Maintainer,

we are currently packaging Plasma 6 as well KDE Gear 6.

The package kio-extras needs an updated version of kdsoap for its
newest releases based on Qt 6.

The way I understand it is that you can build both a Qt 5 and a Qt 6
version in the same build.

It would be great if this could be packaged. Thank you.

Hi,

I'd like to salvage kdsoap and bring it under collaborative
maintenance (the Debian Qt/KDE Team). You can read about the package
salvaging procedure here:

https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/pkgs.en.html#package-salvaging

In the case of kdsoap, multiple criteria apply:

  * Five upstream releases haven't been imported
  * The package has seen no activity in almost three years
  * Multiple bugs were not replied to (nor triaged) by the maintainer
  * #1074108 appears to result in KDE Plasma users not being able to
browse SMB shares, and this would be a regression from over a decade of
Debian
releases. Thus the 2.x upload of kdsoap needs to happen ASAP with the
approaching
 trixie freeze.

Regards,
Nicholas

I'm very grateful to the upstream maintainer for accepting this patch.
I suspect, however, that we might be wise to stick with the current
upstream in Debian and focus on a smooth experience for stable upgrades
for now.

Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.0.2-7_i386

When I run "dpkg -i xserver-xfree86_4.0.2-7_i386.deb" the package is
uncompressed and get stuck on the configuration stage. I have to hit
 to get out of this.

In the same time that dpkg is trying to install this package my mouse
becomes completely mad. It select some text randomly when I move it, or
jump from a point to another ramdomly. I've got a PS2 mouse.

Actually I'm pretty sure that the package is uncompressed because I
installed it by hand.

But this problem seems very strange to me. I run an strace on the
command line and I get:

Hope this help !

[On some PCMCIA cardbus implementations] Who makes those pieces of crap?
And who buys them? I can understand it in embedded stuff simply because
the chips are simpler and smaller, but in a laptop you should definitely
try to avoid it.

Your setup is explicitly not supported by goldendict-ng.

According to https://xiaoyifang.github.io/goldendict-ng/topic_wayland/ ,
the goldendict-ng upstream is looking for help on the best way forward
or wayland support. Please consider sending your help upstream.
