Bug#1052003: emscripten: FTBFS with binaryen in experimental
Package: emscripten Version: 3.1.6~dfsg-5 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: a...@debian.org Dear maintainer, emscripten fails to build from source with the latest version of binaryen, currently 116, in experimental. I'm attaching the complete build log. I intend to upload a new version of binaryen to unstable next year because I know that emscripten has no real maintainer and is currently maintained by the QA team. I will ping this bug report again before I do the upload but I hope someone else can look into this problem before that. I wonder if emscripten should embed the exact version of binaryen required to build the package to avoid a circular dependency (because then I could use emscripten to build wabt.js for example). These are the last log lines when emscripten fails: embuilder:INFO: building struct_info cache:INFO: generating system asset: sysroot/lib/wasm32-emscripten/struct_info.json... This is a revisit of #780322, but applied to the Recommends. At the time the hardcoded dependencies got moved from Depends to Recommends, but it looks like now they are not used anymore, since upstream removed the picassaweb extension in commit 5760e1da12de36208934dade855aad9fac4e53a0, upstream version 3.11.3. There does not appear to be any reference to gphoto in the source code anymore, so I'm assuming these are really unused now. According to upstream comment at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=585450 , upstream is clear that this feature will not be implemented. Debian alone is unable to accommodate the feature request. Closing this bug report accordingly. If you have further feature requests, please contact gthumb upstream directly at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gthumb/-/issues . Now it is "Aus dieser Quell importierte Bilder > dort löschen" but it should better be something like "Lösche die importierten > Bilder vom Quellmedium". Please check the current translation at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gthumb/-/blob/master/po/de.po . From current point of view, the translation has already been updated. If you have any comments, please contact GThumb upstream at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gthumb/-/issues . Since this bug report is no longer applicable, I am closing this bug report.
