Package: lighttpd
Version: 1.4.49-1.1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

The create-mime.assign.pl script can only read mime types without
capital letters from /etc/mime.types, thus reporting files like .ts or
.m3u8 as application/octet-stream instead of video/MP2T and
application/x-mpegURL, respectively.

The attached patch fixes the issue by accepting capital letters in;
[^\s] would be an alternative depending on the precise definition of the
mime.types file.

Best regards, and thank you for maintaining this package

lighttpd fails to cross build from source. The first problem is
satisfying Build-Depends. Two dependencies are problematic: perl and
libcgi-pm-perl. Turns out the latter is unnecessary (removing it does
not influence the build result). And perl needs to be run, but not
linked, so it gets annotated :native. Then it uses the wrong pkg-config
and fails finding libxml2.pc. After fixing that as well, lighttpd cross
builds successfully. Please consider applying the attached patch.

Package: linux-igd
Version: 1.0+cvs20070630-3
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Normally, linux-igd works justs fine for hosts other than my router. A service
on the localhost tried to forward a
port to itself. It detected its internal IP address just fine and asked
linux-igd to set up a forwarding. linux-igd
did that, but it put the rule into the FORWARD chain, where the packets never
get. Since the DNAT rule sends the
packets to the internal IP on the localhost, they get to the INPUT chain.

So I would like to request the following feature: when a forwarding is
requested for a local IP address, the ACCEPT
rule should be created in the INPUT chain, not the forward chain. The DNAT rule
in the PREROUTING chain should
behave the same way as it does now.

Despite appearances in gatedevice.c at AddPortMapping, the
ConflictInMappingEntry error will never be returned to our Control Point
because pmlist_PushBack() doesn't check for conflicts and can only return
0 or 1, not 718.

(Its argument validation isn't too clever either as it barfs on
strdup(NULL) of optional parameters).

linux-igd listens for UDP mutlicast packets but does not restrict
itself to just the internal interface (which has to be specified in
any case), thereby opening itself to possible external requests for
port forwarding. In many cases this would be blocked by firewalling
rules on the same machine as the daemon, so would not be any issue
there.

This can be fixed with a simple bind() or SO_BINDTODEVICE as in the
attached patch. Note that this patch is against the latest CVS, but
should be correct for the Debian versions.

Note that a more recent version of linux-igd has been packaged for Debian here:

Package: linux-igd

I'm investigating why my router occasionally becomes very unresponsive on
some of its services. I don't yet know whether this issue is in any way
related to linux-igp. But while checking, I noticed this funny error in the
logs:

Failure in GateDeviceDeletePortMapping: DeletePortMap: Proto:TCP Port:7710

As far as I can tell, the part of linux-igp that spits out this error works
more or less a follows:

portmap = pmlist_FindSpecific(xxx)
if pmlist_Find(portmap.xxx) == notfound then log "Failure in ..."

I may misunderstand something, but this seems to me like an error that can
just never happen. Unless there is an error in the locking, so that the
mapping can disappear between the first and second pmlist_Find. Linux-igp
was getting a number of requests at the same time when this happened.

If this is indeed a locking error, it may be a serious problem. Or if
someone can tell me that it is a benign message, I can look elsewhere for
the router-instability.

TIA

Hi,

linux-idg FTBFS with upnp 1.8.4 (in experimental) with this error:
> gatedevice.c:10:10: fatal error: TimerThread.h: No such file or directory
> #include
> ^~~
> compilation terminated.

The threadutil library is no longer shipped with upnp 1.8 since it's an
implementation detail which has nothing to do with upnp itself.

Unfortunately it looks like a lot of code needs rewriting to use
pthreads directly or another threading library (which can cope with some
of the extra features of threadutil like thread pooling).

When ALLOW_MULTICAST=yes and linux-igd sets up multicast routing for the
internal interface, it routes 224.0.0.0/4 which is the entire Multicast

Package: linux-igd
Severity: grave
Tags: security
Justification: user security hole

Linux-igd is dead code, use very old libpunp version that contains
numerous security holes. Besides this version is not compatible with
IPV6 as required by UPnP IGD V2 specification.

So pklease obsolete this package and replace it with code at
git://gitorious.org/igd2-for-linux/igd2-for-linux.git

Hi,

I have a router with wifi and ethernet interfaces, and I'd like to use upnpd on
both of them.
Would it be possible to have more than one internal interface ?

Thanks,
Xav

Bug#916643: Removed package(s) from unstable

2018-12-16 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

 linux-igd | 1.0+cvs20070630-6 | source, amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, i386,
mips, mips64el, mipsel, ppc64el, s390x

--- Reason ---
RoQA; orphaned, ftbfs
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 916...@bugs.debian.org.

The full log for this bug can be viewed at https://bugs.debian.org/916643
