Package: flashplugin-nonfree-extrasound
Version: 0.0.svn2431-3
Severity: normal

The Adobe wiki talk page [1] identifies a number of issues with OSS support
offered by this flashsupport version, namely:
  writes out of buffer.
inappropriate resetting of soundcard (leading to browser hang).
  wrong return value.

In all of these cases, a fix is identified in the page, but in case there's any
ambiguity, I think the flashsupport version offered by the OSS developers at
4front[2] can be used for references on how to fix these issues.

Hi !

Using the 32 bit compatibility mode under amd64, it should be possible
to use this library along with the 32 bit flash player.

Could please provide an ia32- package providing the 32 bit version of
the library ?

Dear maintainer,

Your package is {build-}depending against esound which is deprecated
for quite some times now.

We are planning to remove esound for Buster if possible.

Could you please verify that this dependency is mandatory and if it's
not the case, could you please remove it?

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Hi!

There has been some work to enable JACK (jackaudio.org) for flash:

   git clone git://repo.or.cz/libflashsupport-jack.git

It would be nice to have this in -extrasound.

TIA

Bug#741256: Removed package(s) from unstable

2017-06-16 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

flashplugin-nonfree-extrasound | 0.0.svn2431-6 | source, amd64, i386

--- Reason ---
RoQA; obsolete
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 741...@bugs.debian.org.
