Package: lomoco
Version: 1.0.0-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I recently upgraded from 1.0.0-1 to 1.0.0-2 and now my mouse (Logitech MX510)
is now at the default resolution after reboot instead of being automatically
set to 800 DPI just as before. It seems that the /lib/udev/udev.lomoco file is
missing in 1.0.0-2, compared to 1.0.0-1. In syslog I can see
"systemd-udevd[546]: failed to execute '/lib/udev/udev.lomoco' 'udev.lomoco':
No such file or directory". Copying the file from 1.0.0-1 makes udev
automatically set the mouse resolution again. Thanks!

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package left unowned files on
the system after purge, which is a violation of policy 6.8 (or 10.8):

https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-maintainerscripts.html#s-removedetails

Filing this as important as having a piuparts clean archive is a release
goal since lenny.

Hi,

as Viktor Szépe recently pointed out to me, courier-mta fails to verify
certificates of other MTAs using CNAMEs as their host name. With Amazon
SES, Mailjet, etc. this recently became more common and therefore more
important to fix.

Upstream provides a fix [0] that's easy enough to backport to stretch. I
haven't tried jessie, yet.

Kind Regards

Markus Wanner

Hi,

all of the daemons from src:courier-mta cannot be stopped via their sysv
init scripts due to $PIDFILE not being set properly. Looking at the git
history, this seems broken since the addition of support for
non-standard pid file locations (see #822067 as well) and the change to
use init-d-script.

For the same reason, status doesn't work, either. Installations using
systemd are not affected, obviously.

Kind Regards

Markus Wanner

Hi,

systemd complains it cannot "add dependency on
courier-authdaemon.service,courier.service,courierfilter.service,
ignoring: Invalid argument". This simply is due to using commas rather
than spaces in the service file's Requires and After definitions.

Kind Regards

Markus Wanner

Bug#862126: src:zipios++: FTBFS with cppunit 0.14 (cppunit-config removed, errors ignored)

2017-05-08 Thread Rene Engelhard
Package: src:zipios++
Version: 0.1.5.9+cvs.2007.04.28-6
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

[ cppunit 0.14 is not in Debian yet, see #861718. Thus normal for now ]

On a rebuild test using ratt I noticed your package doesn't build with
cppunit 0.14:

[...]
dh build --with autotools-dev
   dh_testdir
   dh_update_autotools_config
   dh_autotools-dev_updateconfig
   dh_auto_configure
./configure --build=x86_64-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr --includedir=\${prefi
x}/include --mandir=\${prefix}/share/man --infodir=\${prefix}/share/info --sysco
nfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --disable-silent-rules --libdir=\${prefix}/lib/x
86_64-linux-gnu --libexecdir=\${prefix}/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu --disable-maintaine
r-mode --disable-dependency-tracking
[...]

config.status: creating tests/Makefile
config.status: creating zipios++/Makefile
config.status: creating zipios++.spec

So here it doesn't find cppunit-config (cppunit-config was removed in
0.14.0) but still continues. Which then "of course" fails since there's
no -lcppunit on linking:

cppunit 0.14 removed cppunit-config.

You should use pkg-config for it now. (that one is available since
long.)

I put my package for testing to

 .
   * QA upload.
   * Import new upstream release.
 + Drop fix-dport-bracket-usage.patch, applied upstream.
   * Reduce debian/rules to a mere "%:\n\tdh $@" by using debian/install.
   * Bump debhelper compat level to 10.
 + Bump versioned debhelper build-dependency accordingly.
   * Switch Vcs-* headers to HTTPS and cgit.
   * Declare compliance with Debian Policy 3.9.8. (No changes needed.)
   * Switch Homepage header and some more URL to HTTPS.
   * Change domain in watch file from www.cipherdyne.com to
 www.cipherdyne.org (as the SSL certificate only covers
 www.cipherdyne.org and cipherdyne.org) and then switch URL to HTTPS.
   * Add upstream signing key from https://www.cipherdyne.org/signing_key.

Package: src:zipios++
Version: 0.1.5.9+cvs.2007.04.28-6
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

[ cppunit 0.14 is not in Debian yet, see #861718. Thus normal for now ]

On a rebuild test using ratt I noticed your package doesn't build with
cppunit 0.14:

[...]
dh build --with autotools-dev
   dh_testdir
   dh_update_autotools_config
   dh_autotools-dev_updateconfig
   dh_auto_configure
./configure --build=x86_64-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr --includedir=\${prefi
x}/include --mandir=\${prefix}/share/man --infodir=\${prefix}/share/info --sysco
nfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --disable-silent-rules --libdir=\${prefix}/lib/x
86_64-linux-gnu --libexecdir=\${prefix}/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu --disable-maintaine
r-mode --disable-dependency-tracking
[...]
checking for cppunit-config... no
checking for Cppunit - version >= 1.6.0... no
[...]
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating src/Makefile
config.status: creating tests/Makefile
config.status: creating zipios++/Makefile
config.status: creating zipios++.spec
config.status: creating zipios++/zipios-config.h
config.status: executing depfiles commands
[...]

So here it doesn't find cppunit-config (cppunit-config was removed in
0.14.0) but still continues. Which then "of course" fails since there's
no -lcppunit on linking:

cppunit 0.14 removed cppunit-config.

You should use pkg-config for it now. (that one is available since
long.)

I put my package for testing to
https://people.debian.org/~rene/libreoffice/5.4/cppunit/

Rene
