Bug#848917: nautic FTBFS on architectures where char is unsigned: error: narrowing conversion of '-1' from 'int' to 'char' inside { } [-Wnarrowing]

2017-01-13 Thread Graham Inggs

Thanks for the upload, Andreas!

If this bug had been tagged [1] like #811740 was, I might have seen it
sooner.

I only saw it when I noticed nautic was not migrating in Ubuntu. :(

you could have done that QA upload yourself (even without filing a bug) :-)

I only cared for it because orphaned packages shouldn't have RC bugs
with patches.

Yeah, I know :( and I would have, seeing it is a QA package, but I
thought it was too late for Stretch.

The version constraint for php-getid3 (<< 1.9.8.0~) is too strict for no
good reason. Since 1.9.9+dfsg-2 is in Sid, the package is not
installable anymore. Maybe dh_linktree is not as useful as it looks.

Hi!

This package depends (or recommends) direclty on Oracle MySQL. It
should instead depend on the default-mysql-* metapackages, and end up
being installed with the MySQL implementation Debian has chosen to
use, currently MariaDB instead of Oracle MySQL.

Announcement of the new default-mysql-* metapackages:

Please update the depencies accordingly. In most cases the required
change follows this pattern:

* BEFORE: Depends: mysql-server | virtual-mysql-server

* AFTER: Depends: default-mysql-server | virtual-mysql-server

As this is a mass bug filing, the exact solution above might not
apply to directly. For example, if your package depends on some other
Oracle MySQL package, like mysql-client, then use to
default-mysql-client.

Thanks,

Bug#850838: Removed package(s) from unstable

2017-01-13 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

   ampache | 3.6-rzb2752+dfsg-9 | source, all
ampache-common | 3.6-rzb2752+dfsg-9 | all

--- Reason ---
RoQA; orphaned, needs periodic rebuilds, 2 years behind upstream, RC #801116
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 850...@bugs.debian.org.

Hi,

OpenSSL 1.1.0 is about to released. During a rebuild of all packages using
OpenSSL this package fail to build. A log of that build can be found at:
https://breakpoint.cc/openssl-1.1-rebuild-2016-05-29/Attempted/mod-authn-webid_0~20110301-4_amd64-20160529-1450

On https://wiki.openssl.org/index.php/1.1_API_Changes you can see various of the
reasons why it might fail. There are also updated man pages at
https://www.openssl.org/docs/manmaster/ that should contain useful information.

There is a libssl-dev package available in experimental that contains a recent
snapshot, I suggest you try building against that to see if everything works.

If you have problems making things work, feel free to contact us.

Bug#851294: fbset FTCBFS: uses build architecture compiler

2017-01-13 Thread Helmut Grohne
Source: fbset
Version: 2.1-28
Tags: patch
User: helm...@debian.org
Usertags: rebootstrap

fbset fails to cross build from source, because it uses the build
architecture compiler. Using dh_auto_build makes it cross build
successfully, because debhelper places cross compilers into CC and CXX.
Please consider applying the attached patch.

Since this has settled a bit in unstable, could you also fix this
for the next jessie point release?
