Package: python-tg.devtools
Version: 2.0.2-5
Severity: important

Hi Doko!

It looks like repoze.what and repoze.what-plugins are not actively maintained
upstream, and repoze.who >= 2 is breaking its API, making repoze.what
incompatible with it.

repoze.what needs repoze.who-plugins to build.

I would like to get rid of repoze.what, repoze.who-plugins &
repoze.what-plugins in Debian, as it would be too hard to continue to
maintain it without upstream support.

Note that this issue is blocking python-pysaml2 to migrate to Testing, as
it depends on repoze.who who itself can't migrate to Testing because of
repoze.what depending on repoze.who < 1.99. So I'd like to have the situation
fixed asap, so that the last remaining OpenStack (Liberty release) can migrate
to testing (so I could start doing the uploads to jessie-backports).

I haven't investigated how hard it would be to get rid of repoze.what in
tg.devtools. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts about it.

Cheers,

Thomas Goirand (zigo)

Bug#805800: Removed package(s) from unstable

2015-12-12 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

python-tg.devtools |2.0.2-5 | all
tg.devtools |2.0.2-5 | source

--- Reason ---
RoQA; orphaned; low popcon; RC bugs
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 805...@bugs.debian.org.

The full log for this bug can be viewed at https://bugs.debian.org/805800

Bug#807788: texworks crashes looking for libpoppler.so.47

2015-12-12 Thread Marc J. Driftmeyer
Package: texworks
Version: 0.5~svn1363-6+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

With the most recent updates to Poppler 0.38 the shared object library coded
instead of linking to libpoppler.so is linked to libpoppler.so.47 TeXWorks
crashes as the new version is libpoppler.so.57.

Workaround:

mdriftmeyer@horus:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu$ sudo ln -s libpoppler.so
libpoppler.so.47

Then TeXWorks launches. I'd prefer TeXWorks link against the most current
version of libpoppler.so so then it doesn't break when libpoppler.so update
links to the next libpoppler.so.5x or libpoppler.so.6x

- Marc
