Source: libidl
Version: 0.8.14-3
Severity: serious
Justification: Breaks other packages

Hello!

Packages which build-depend on libidl are currently failing to build because
they try to install libidl0 as well as libidl-2-0 at the same time while
both packages contain some identical filenames:

dpkg: error processing archive
/var/cache/apt/archives/libidl-2-0_0.8.14-3_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libIDL-2.so.0.0.0', which is
also in package libidl0:amd64 0.8.14-1

This results in packages like gamazon failing to build from source repeatedely
[1].

Please add the necessary Breaks etc to your debian/control file so that the
issue
can be resolved. Currently, libidl is unnecessarily hogging the buildds and
annoying us buildd admins.

Thanks,
Adrian

Package: libidl-2-0
Version: 0.8.14-2
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 7.6

Since libidl0 was renamed to libidl-2-0, the new libidl-2-0 needs to
declare Breaks/Replaces on libidl0 (<< 0.8.14-2) per policy §7.6.1.
As this wasn't done when the package was renamed, an upgrade currently
fails:

Hi,

Maybe Thibaut didn't receive the email because
he is not subscribed.

Please read below.

the named (bind) subscriber doesn't use DBus, only the dnsmasq
 subscriber does.
Are you sure it's bind it's trying to restart?

Can you post your /etc/resolvconf.conf please?

 Roy

 I cannot replicate this.
Attached is output from a system with two interfaces each of which has
DNS servers from DHCP, IPv6RA and DHCPv6.

As you can see, the final result is generated perfectly.

 uberlaptop2$ resolvconf -l
 # resolv.conf from wm0.dhcp
 # Generated by dhcpcd from wm0.dhcp
 domain marples.name
 search marples.name

Can you post similar output from your system please?
Mail me directly if you don't want it to appear on this public tracker.

Bug#806399: blackbox: postrm debhelper block under remove

2015-11-26 Thread Kevin Ryde
Package: blackbox
Version: 0.70.1-30
Severity: minor

/var/lib/dpkg/info/blackbox.postrm has its generated debhelper block
only under "remove" case

case "$1" in

  remove)
# Automatically added by dh_installmenu
inst=/etc/menu-methods/blackbox
if [ "$1" = "remove" ] && [ -f "$inst" ]; then chmod a-x $inst ; fi
if [ -x "`which update-menus 2>/dev/null`" ]; then update-menus ; fi
# End automatically added section

  ;;

I think debhelper normally expects its code to run always (and checks
itself what dpkg action). In this case I think the update-menus is
supposed to run always (though I think also it goes from a trigger so no
actual ill effect from its restriction).
