Bug#768545: aspell-fi: Invalid format for aspell/fi.rws

2014-11-08 Thread Francois Gouget
Package: aspell-fi
Version: 0.7-18
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

This package is incompatible with aspell >= 0.60.7~20110707-1.2 (or -1.3). The
symptom is:

$ echo Hello | aspell -a -lfi
Error: The file "/usr/lib/aspell/fi.rws" is not in the proper format.
Incompatible hash function.

I believe the reason for the issue is described in this aspell changelog:

aspell (0.60.7~20110707-1.3) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * Break pre-multiarch arch:any aspell dictionaries.
Their 64 bit versions will no longer work with new aspell package
(Closes: #764189).

Bug#768635: big-cursor: Requires a change to /etc/alternatives/x-cursor-theme

2014-11-08 Thread Joel Roth
Package: big-cursor
Version: 3.9
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Installing big-cursor package did not change the default
cursor on two systems I maintain (sid, Ubuntu LTS) where X
is started with startx.

Big-cursor was not offered as a choice when I ran:

update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme

I resolved the issues by editing
/etc/alternatives/x-cursor-theme.

If this approach is suitable, perhaps it could be documented
in README.Debian:

For some systems it may be necessary to edit
/etc/alternatives/x-cursor-theme as follows:

[Icon Theme]
Inherits=big-cursor

Thank you.

=head1 DESCRIPTION

B will take a file or piped input stream and make it Sam
