It allows me to call cuetag like so: cuetag Björk-Volta.cue *.ogg ARTIST ALBUM TITLE YEAR=2007 GENRE=electronic TRACKNUMBER which accomplishes two things: 1. it pre-selects the fields and specifies their order; 2. it hardcodes two fields to specific values for all tracks. Since the field list is hardcoded for MP3, any fields specified on the command line are effectively ignored. This could probably be implemented better, but I do not care about MP3 at all. OTOH, mid3v2 from python-mutagen is a drop-in replacement for id3v2 with many fixes (and is actively maintained upstream). Therefore, it would be great to have cuetools be updated to have its dependencies be satisfied by python-mutagen instead of forcing a broken package on the users. Its actual limit is 98 tracks, and yet as the source code notes, the Red Book audio standard permits 99 tracks per disc (and 99 indices per track). When I looked into this, I saw that: 1) not only will the same error occur with index numbers, but 2) the wrong preprocessor symbol is being expanded when checking the index number. (Can this few people really have ever dealt with Nine Inch Nails's _Broken_ EP? It's not exactly an obscure title, especially among hackers...) Please find attached a cuesheet which will enable reproduction of the problem, and a tested patch fixing it. Bug#714690: Removed package(s) from unstable
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: freespeak |0.3.0-5 | source, all --- Reason --- RoQA; orphaned, unmaintained upstream, alternatives exist -- Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next dinstall run at the earliest. Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is really needed, please contact them if this should be the case. We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 714...@bugs.debian.org. More information can be found in the Debian wiki [1]. Please update your package to build against the motif package instead. In most cases this can be done by simply replacing the build-depends on lesstif2-dev with libmotif-dev, however please do verify proper behaviour before uploading. Your package appears to not depend on any other lesstif2-dependent packages and its only dependent package is grace. We have checked for ABI changes using icheck which reported differences. Please bump the library SONAME and package names as appropriate, or if in doubt. Bug#715126: Broken library symlink detected in libwnn-dev
Package: libwnn-dev Version: 1.1.1~a021+cvs20100325-6 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts, broken-symlink, broken-symlink-shared-library Hi, During a test with piuparts, I noticed your package is responsible for the presence of broken symlinks involving a shared library. Such failures may indicate a significant problem with the package. Usually this is caused by a missing Depends. It may also be triggered if a Recommended or reverse dependency package owning the symlink target file is not yet installed. This type of failure mode needs to be eliminated so that other symlink problems become more visible. In this case, the problem can be resolved by creating a trigger for the target file. See the dpkg triggers documentation[1] and an example on the net[2] for implementation details. This is being filed as Serious because it represents a violation of Policy. Section 8 states "Packages containing shared libraries must be constructed with a little care to make sure that the shared library is always available". A link to the log containing the indicated broken symlinks can be found on piuparts.debian.org[3]. Search for "Warn: Broken Symlinks" to see the failure point. A log showing the broken symlink as an error is appended. Bug#715075: Broken library symlink detected in libcwnn-dev
Package: libcwnn-dev Version: 1.1.1~a021+cvs20100325-6 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts, broken-symlink, broken-symlink-shared-library Hi, During a test with piuparts, I noticed your package is responsible for the presence of broken symlinks involving a shared library.
