Don't just close this bug. :) At least you have to change description of
package defoma to: "Defoma doesn't work, don't have to work and will not
work, this is not a bug, but a feature". :) And where is font.dir for
true type fonts now?

Closing is the right thing to do. It remains closed.

It's not as if the original bug report contained anything which would
have helped fix the bug if defoma was still being developed. The only
thing that came out of your bug report was yet another reason to remove
defoma, not that it lacked sufficient reasons already.

See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=651494 for details
of the removal.

> At least you have to change description of

Packages which are scheduled for removal cannot have their package
descriptions modified to indicate removal. Changing the description
requires a new upload which is a complete waste of time when the next
action on the package will be deletion. (Many packages are removed
because the package fails to build, so making a new upload would be
impossible. If the build could be fixed, the package probably wouldn't
get removed.)

When packages are removed, all bugs for that package are closed without
any other intervention, no matter the severity of the bug. When defoma
is finally removed, you would have received much the same message from
ftp-masters.

There is no point keeping bugs open against defoma. There is no way
that your bug report can be fixed other than by removing defoma, so the
bug is better closed.

If your fonts aren't working, purge defoma from your system and see
whether fontconfig is actually working.

Hi,

openmsx-catapult depends on openmsx (<< 0.8.2). In sid we are, however,
past that version of openmsx:

% rmadison openmsx
 openmsx | 0.6.3-2| lenny | source, alpha, amd64, arm, armel, hppa, i386,
ia64, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc
 openmsx | 0.8.0-1| squeeze | source, amd64, armel, i386, ia64,
kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc
 openmsx | 0.8.2-1| sid | source, amd64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, ia64,
kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, s390x, sparc
 openmsx | 0.8.2-1+b1 | sid | i386

Hence, openmsx-catapult needs to be updated in order to become installable
again.
