If a domains.db file is empty squidguard fails to go on and read the
urls.db and expressions file for that target.

This is a major flaw, and I spent a long time trying to work out why my
regexps were not working!

Upstream seems rather inactive, but there is a patch for this and
various other fixes at http://linuxbox.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=squidGuard
or
http://www.netdirect.ca/software/category.php?cat=SquidGuard.

I think it would be worth including this fix.

Thanks,

Mark

If you want to block, says, http://10.10.10.10/index.html, no problem it works
But if you want to block http://boo.far.com/index.html, then it does not work
!!!
Of course these two examples are urls, so written to an urls file, with the
corresponding
"urllist category/urls" configuration part in squidGuard.conf

Here you can find this bug on the upstream bugtracker :

It has been fixed, the patch is available here :

mnogosearch REMOVED from testing

2010-06-20 Thread Debian testing watch
FYI: The status of the mnogosearch source package
in Debian's testing distribution has changed.

  Previous version: 3.3.8-2
  Current version: (not in testing)
  Hint: <http://release.debian.org/britney/hints/adsb>
# 20100619; done 20100620
# FTBFS; #564345; low popcon; orphaned

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals.

--
This email is automatically generated once a day. As the installation of
new packages into testing happens multiple times a day you will receive
later changes on the next day.
See http://release.debian.org/testing-watch/ for more information.

Bug#586605: firmware-b43-installer: do not fail on kernel version mismatch

2010-06-20 Thread Krasu
Package: firmware-b43-installer
Version: 4.150.10.5-4
Severity: important

firmware-b43-installer currently fails in postinst script on kernel versions <
2.6.25. This makes impossible to install firmware-b43-installer in the
deboostrapped environment, since it may not have a kernel at all, but the host
system has 2.6.18 or similar. postinst script should ask if it's ok to install
firmware-b43-installer anyway (like udev does).

-- System Information:
Debian Release: squeeze/sid
  APT prefers testing
APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (20, 'unstable')
Architecture: i386 (i686)

Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-4-686-bigmem (SMP w/2 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash

Versions of packages firmware-b43-installer depends on:
ii b43-fwcutter 1:013-2Utility for extracting Broadcom 43
ii bzip2 1.0.5-4high-quality block-sorting file co
ii wget 1.12-2 retrieves files from the web

Versions of packages firmware-b43-installer recommends:
ii linux-image-2.6.32-4-686-bigm 2.6.32-11 Linux 2.6.32 for PCs with 4GB+ RAM
