Package: webcam-server
Version: 0.50-3
Severity: wishlist

I would like to use webcam-server with a USB Video Class webcam, but
the uvcvideo driver only supports the v4l2 version of frame grabbing,
so it fails.

Alternatively, if the person is listed as Maintainer, what we are
asking is to please step in as a new maintainer.

Recent update of perl-modules from 5.8.8-7etch3 to 5.8.8-7etch5 seems to
break ytnef-filter in many cases.
A single, stray boundary line - as specified in the Content-Type header
field is appended to mail body and prevents Cyrus imap lmtpd from
successfully delivering those emails (after being filtered by
ytnef-filter).

The following tnef relevant(?) lines in mail header and an one-line mail
body lines might be enough to trigger that behaviour:

 Content-class: urn:content-classes:message
 MIME-Version: 1.0
 Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
boundary="_=_NextPart_001_01C956C3.5FFA0A45"
 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.5
 X-MS-Has-Attach:
 X-MS-TNEF-Correlator:

The result of ytnef-filtering is a mail with a single line

 --_=_NextPart_001_01C956C3.5FFA0A45--

appended at the end, which is then rejected by exim/Cyrus lmtpd with a
"LMTP error after end of data: 554 5.6.0 Message contains invalid
header" error.

Hi,

The file /usr/share/doc/ytnef/README refers to "ytnefprocess.pl",
which was apparently renamed to "ytnef-filter" in the Debian package.
Also, it appears that the "~/.ytnef" directory is not necessary,
contrary to what README says. Perhaps a README.Debian should document
these changes,

The recommended use of ytnef-filter in .procmail (again in README)
doesn't seem to work correctly with mbox mailboxes, because it strips
off the leading 'From ' line.

There are no manpages for ytnef or ytnef-filter.

Bug#569673: egroupware-core: illegal error_reporting configuration option in /etc/egroupware/apache.conf

2010-02-13 Thread Gunter Ohrner
Package: egroupware-core
Version: 1.6.002+dfsg-1
Severity: important

The shipped apache.conf is broken in that it effectively disables any error
reporting.

It configures error_reproting as

  php_value error_reporting 'E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE'

which does not work in apache config files as the symbolic constant names are
not
known there. This effectively sets error_reporting to "0" and caused me quite
some
time to debug the cause of me getting a white page only instead of some helpful
error
messages, especially I've set error_Reporting correctly in my global php.ini
file.

Please note the following snipped from on this topic:

***
http://www.php.net/manual/en/errorfunc.configuration.php#ini.error-reporting
Note: PHP Constants outside of PHP
Using PHP Constants outside of PHP, like in httpd.conf, will have no useful
meaning so
in such cases the integer values are required. And since error levels will be
added over
time, the maximum value (for E_ALL) will likely change. So in place of E_ALL
consider
using a larger value to cover all bit fields from now and well into the future,
a
numeric value like 2147483647 (includes all errors, not just E_ALL).

Bug#569688: bibclean: Year 2010 Problem

2010-02-13 Thread Mark A. Hillebrand
Package: bibclean
Version: 2.11.4-6
Severity: normal

Hi all,

  for bib entries with years >= 2010, bibclean will report an invalid
year.  For example, bibcleaning

@Misc{X,year="2010"}

  gives

@Misc{X,
  year =
%% "stdin", line 1: Unexpected value in ``year = "2010"''.
"2010",
}

  The reason seems to be the year pattern set in bibclean.ini.

ruby-v4l REMOVED from testing

FYI: The status of the ruby-v4l source package

Bug#569757: gdb-m68hc1x: NEG instruction does exactly the wrong thing with Carry flag

2010-02-13 Thread Robert Swan
Package: gdb-m68hc1x
Version: 1:6.4+3.1+dfsg-5
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

This probably belongs with the upstream maintainer, but I don't know
who that is. Perhaps you can forward.

All flavours of NEG should set Carry unless the input value is zero
(see FreeScale documentation). The simulator code does the exact
opposite.

Not a patch file, but the following change fixes this behaviour:

vi gdb-m68hc1x-6.4+3.1+dfsg/src/sim/m68hc11/gencode.c
138G
:s/==/!=/

I have also noticed that the TBL/ETBL instructions aren't implemented.
