Vim-addon-manager is needed to enable vim-latexsuite. It would be
nice to mention in the documentation that it is possible to
use vim-addons to install vim-latexsuite on a per-user basis.

Hi,
in /usr/share/vim/addons/ftplugin/latex-suite/texrc it is selected
ghostview in

TexLet g:Tex_ViewRule_ps = 'ghostview'

though AFAICT it is not provided under that name by gv, switching to use
gv seems appropriate

thanks,
filippo

Hi!

I can't get
:help latex-suite
working.

As root I called
$ helpztags /usr/share/vim/addons/doc
Processing /usr/share/vim/addons/doc
but this didn't change anything.

AFAIS I don't have any other addons installed, the output below is the
same I get when running the dpkg -S command ...

Thanks for your consideration

Package: vim-latexsuite
Version: 20060325-4
Severity: minor

If I type \input{f then latexsuite presents a new window with
files from the current directory, but unfortunately does not filter
them according to the leading f*, like it does for \cite and \ref
completion.

What's worse though is that I cannot use the arrow keys in the
directory view window. If I press , the window closes and vim
executes OB (inserts a line with a B before the current one), which
is very reminiscent of the ancient "compatible" vi implementation,
although compatible is not set in the window. I can use the hjkl
keys as expected.

Please let me use the arrow keys too. And please pre-filter the list
according to the prefix.

In /usr/share/vim/addons/ftplugin/latex-suite/packages there are files
for latex packages and these files seem to let g:TeX_package_ be
something. However ngerman.vim does not let such a value. So when I use
ngerman and do "proof" I am presented with a warning message. This
is really annoying for users of the ngerman package.

Package: vim-latexsuite
Version: 20060325-4.1
Severity: minor

When using the function from an empty line and choosing an
environment from the prompted menu, it results in some unintended
output:

E.g choosing "align" results in

\begin{align}
  "
  \label{<++>}
\end{align}<++>

with the cursor behind those annoying quotation marks.

This does however NOT happen, when invoking the same environment by
typing "align" in an empty line and then pressing (and thus
surpressing the menu). This results in

\begin{align}

  \label{<++>}
\end{align}<++>

as supposed to.

Since this error forces me to delete an character each time I insert an
environment, it is a little annoying.

I installed the vim-latexsuite package directly through aptitude. But
I think the patch vim-latexsuite (20060325-5) foldingfix[1] has not been
applied properly.

>From the patch contents:
> call AddSyntaxFoldItem('^\s*\\begin{'.s,'^\s*\\end{'.s,0,0)
> + " call AddSyntaxFoldItem('^\s*\\begin{'.s,'^\s*\\end{'.s,0,0)
> + call AddSyntaxFoldItem('^\s*\\begin{'.s,'\(^\|\s\)\s*\\end{'.s,0,0)
So I think the deletion of this first line is missing. The attached patch
solved the problem for me.

While \cite{ works like a charm now, using [] on the citation
is a good way to lose everything since the last :write. Maybe this
is due to natbib, which uses [] on \cite commands, I don't know if
plain texlive does that too.

  \citep[p. 123]{Rogers

this will cause three buffers to be opened in the window, one of
another .tex file in the same project, then the [Quickfix List] and
finally a preview of the same .tex file that was opened in the first
buffer.

Curiously, this behaviour is different if the file was just :written
before was called. Then, obviously, no data is list, and the
file I was editing is the one shown on both sides of the [Quickfix
List].

The original buffer of the file one was editing is still available,
but has been reverted to the last write. This can hurt.

Bug#533612: fixed

2009-08-31 Thread Debian Archive Maintenance
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

   gps | 1.1.0.0-2 | alpha, amd64, armel, hppa, ia64, mips, mipsel,

powerpc, s390, sparc
 rgpsp | 1.1.0.0-3 | i386

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.

Packages are never removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems.

Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you

Package: acct
Version: 6.4~pre1-8
Severity: serious

Hello,

acct 6.4~pre1-8 started to ship
/usr/share/info/dir.gz
which is very likely not intentional.

First of all, this file is usually managed by install-info and thus gets
overwritten regularly which causes acct's package checksums to fail.
Second, shipping this file triggers install-info to switch from plain
to a compressed Info directory format, which breaks info viewers that
cannot handle compressed dir files, like Emacs (see #543564).
Third, (re)installing or upgrading acct always corrupts the Info
directory this way.

Fourth, because of this file and a similar bug, acct currently conflicts
with opencubicplayer (#537835):

Preparing to replace acct 6.4~pre1-7+b1 (using .../acct_6.4~pre1-8_i386.deb) ...
Stopping process accounting: Turning off process accounting.
acct.
Unpacking replacement acct ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/acct_6.4~pre1-8_i386.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/share/info/dir.gz', which is also in package
opencubicplayer
Starting process accounting: Turning on process accounting, file set to
'/var/log/account/pacct'.
acct.

Since this is the second bug of this kind i'm writing within quite a
short time: Maybe you find some hints why packages start shipping
/usr/share/info/dir.gz while resolving this issue - if you do so, please
reassign this bug or file another bug report against the causative
package.

Thanks for your work & regards
   Mario

Currently there is the problem that gnatmake is not available on armel:

http://packages.debian.org/search?suite=sid§ion=all&arch=any&searchon=contents&keywords=gnatmake

Unless the gnat-x.y packages become reliably available on all release
architectures, the Ada95 bindings should probably not be enabled.

According to the Debian changelog, the xterm terminfo database is based
on xterm 200 which is 4.5 years old. Do you think it would be safe to
update to the one in xterm 246?

I agree that this bug is really annoying.

sfind override disparity

2009-08-31 Thread Archive Administrator
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

sfind_1.2-7_amd64.deb: package says priority is optional, override says extra.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please file a bug against ftp.debian.org and
explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we
won't be able to deal with your request due to missing information.

Please make sure that the subject of the bug you file follows the
following format:

Subject: override: BINARY1:section/priority, [...], BINARYX:section/priority

Include the justification for the change in the body of the mail please.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you already filed a bug
and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until
then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.]

Re: Bug#444250: ncurses-base: xterm.ti (the terminfo database) is out of sync with the current xterm

This is still not addressed. For reference, a diff is attached.

According to the Debian changelog, the xterm terminfo database is based
on xterm 200 which is 4.5 years old. Do you think it would be safe to
update to the one in xterm 246?

Changing kbs of course.

Most of the other changes are function-keys (which is the point of this
report).

The only other issue is for smm/rmm, which is a nuisance for bash users.
While it's correct, bash users may expect the meta key to send escape.

This only affects users of xterm (none of the other terminals which may
set $TERM to "xterm" implement either the sequence or the corresponding
meta mode).

So you may want to update xterm-debian and exclude that feature.

(It's non-configurable inside bash; bash's maintainer ignores reports and
comments).

I agree that this bug is really annoying.

Sven

Bug#56256: Ada95 bindings for ncurses (fwd)

A later bug report #135024 is mentioned in the Debian changelog.
It points out a build-dependencies problem.

Currently there is the problem that gnatmake is not available on armel:

http://packages.debian.org/search?suite=sid§ion=all&arch=any&searchon=contents&keywords=gnatmake

Unless the gnat-x.y packages become reliably available on all release
architectures, the Ada95 bindings should probably not be enabled.

Perhaps it should be introduced as a separate package, and all of these
files moved there:

/usr/share/doc/libncurses5-dev/html/Ada95.html

However - are all packages from a given source built at the same time?

Bug#446444: Wrong key definition in rxvt-unicode terminfo file

2009-08-31 Thread Sven Joachim
Hi,

I'm going through the list of open bugs in ncurses.

Actually, the rxvt-unicode terminfo file shipped in ncurses-base has
apparently not changed since it first appeared in 2005. The logs of bug
#270287 indicate that it was taken from an example file shipped in the
rxvt-unicode package. The current rxvt-unicode package in sid contains
an updated terminfo file in the doc/etc directory that however still has
this bug, AFAICS.

Sven
