Bug#525870: marked as done (gtk_text_new implicitly converted to pointer)
Your message dated Mon, 27 Jul 2009 13:17:09 + with message-id and subject line Bug#525870: fixed in mbrowse 0.3.1-8 has caused the Debian Bug report #525870, regarding gtk_text_new implicitly converted to pointer to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what this message is talking about, this may indicate a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact ow...@bugs.debian.org immediately.) -- 525870: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=525870 Debian Bug Tracking System Contact ow...@bugs.debian.org with problems --- Begin Message --- Package: mbrowse Version: 0.3.1-7 Severity: serious Usertags: implicit-pointer-conversion Our automated buildd log filter[1] detected a problem that is likely to cause your package to segfault on architectures where the size of a pointer is greater than the size of an integer, such as ia64 and amd64. Function `gtk_text_new' implicitly converted to pointer at interface.c:462 Function `gtk_text_new' implicitly converted to pointer at details.c:422 This is often due to a missing function prototype definition. For more information, see [2]. A workaround might be to build with -DGTK_ENABLE_BROKEN, though presumably there is a replacement interface that can be used instead. Though it is guaranteed that this codepath will cause a segfault on certain architectures, it is not guaranteed that this codepath would ever be executed (e.g., if the returned pointer is never dereferenced). However, this bug does prevent the ia64 buildd from successfully building this package, resulting in a practical FTBFS issue and warranting the serious severity. windowlab REMOVED from testing
FYI: The status of the windowlab source package in Debian's testing distribution has changed. Previous version: 1.34-1 Current version: (not in testing) Hint: Package not in unstable The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals. -- This email is automatically generated once a day. As the installation of new packages into testing happens multiple times a day you will receive later changes on the next day. Bug#538895: gimageview: crash (segmentation fault) after Page Up or Page Down
Package: gimageview Version: 0.2.27-3 Severity: normal When I open gimv (with no arguments) in a directory containing at least 1 photo, double-click on the directory (on the left), and type Page Up or Page Down, gimv crashes. Closes: #474128. * New upstream version. * Completely rework the packaging. Use dpatch for patch management. * Thoroughly revise debian/copyright. * Accomplish the Debian-specific library renaming by modifying the .am files and rerunning the whole auto-toolchain. This is the cleanest way to do this and produces the smallest distro diff. -> New dpatch (script): 01rename_library.sh * Activate the python module build (closes: #388541): * Configure --with-python. * Patch the .pyx code to avoid using the reserved keyword 'type' as a mundane identifier. -> New dpatch: 02python_type_is_reserved * Patch the python Makefile to build against all current python versions. -> New dpatch: 03build_all_python_versions * Use debhelper v7. * Standards Version is now 3.8.1. signature.asc Description: Digital signature --- End Message ---
