If anyone has any suggestions on where adesklets should go now? I'm
unsure.

Hello Frank,

Looking at the description, it seems to belong either in
Applications/Graphics or Applications/Programming, but I installed
adesklets, and I selected adesklets in the menu, and nothing happened,
so I have no idea whether this menu entry is useful and for what.

Cheers,

Bug#496218: d4x: please update to the new menu structure

2008-08-23 Thread Bill Allombert
Package: d4x
Version: 2.5.7.1-5
Severity: normal

Hello Debian QA Group,

The file /usr/share/menu/d4x reads
?package(d4x):needs="X11" section="Apps/Net"\
  title="Downloader for X" command="/usr/bin/nt"
icon="/usr/share/pixmaps/nt.xpm"

Please migrate to the new menu structure [1].

The section Apps/Net no more exist. Download managers belong to
Applications/Network/File Transfer.

Bug#444061: bug against the astrolog debian package

2008-08-23 Thread Ralf Treinen
Hello,

you filed a bug against the astrolog debian package concnerning the licence
of the placalc.* files, and you said hat these files could simply be removed
from the package:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=444061

I did not succeed to compile the package without these files:

cc -o astrolog astrolog.o data.o data2.o general.o io.o calc.o matrix.o
charts0.o charts1.o charts2.o charts3.o intrpret.o xdata.o xgeneral.o xdevice.o
xcharts0.o xcharts1.o xcharts2.o xscreen.o -lm -lX11
calc.o: In function `ComputePlacalc':
/home/rt/debian/packages/qa/astrolog/astrolog-5.40/calc.c:361: undefined
reference to `FPlacalcPlanet'
matrix.o: In function `JulianToMdy':
/home/rt/debian/packages/qa/astrolog/astrolog-5.40/matrix.c:109: undefined
reference to `revjul'
matrix.o: In function `MdyToJulian':
/home/rt/debian/packages/qa/astrolog/astrolog-5.40/matrix.c:69: undefined
reference to `julday'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Do you have an idea how to compile atsrolog without the placalc.* files?
Otherwise
I guess we will have to remove the package from the archives, it is orphaned
anyway.

Best Regards -Ralf.
