In the aftermath of a powerful earthquake in central China that has killed at least 67,000 people and left as many as five million homeless, Mercy Corps is responding to survivors' needs alongside its local partners. On Tuesday May 27, a Mercy Corps-coordinated shipment of three tons of medical supplies for survivors arrived in Sichuan Province. We are also working to help children recover from the trauma they've experienced. Mercy Corps is working together with its long-time local partner,China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) and Polso Air cargo Company Limited in emergency response efforts to the most devastated areas. The current plan is to reintroduce the dependency for the lenny release, then restore this change soon afterwards.
