;-)

couldn't, so I had to resort to a web search.

Please find a patch attached.

Bug#427561: cannot reproduce

2008-04-27 Thread Stefano Canepa
Savio,
I cannot reproduce this bug, could you try it again with sid now. I'm
using a different glibc 2.7-10. If the problem still exists could you
try running gdb to see exactly where apt-spy fails. If you confirm that
apt-spy now works on your side I'll close the bug.

Thanks for your help.

Bug#464555: New options

2008-04-27 Thread Stefano Canepa
Hi,
I'm in the process of introducing long options at the command prompt
but I think that changing the short ones is not good as apt-spy is used
into scripts that must be changed if I'll change the meaning of options.

Bye
Stefano

Impending upload of libclamav4

2008-04-27 Thread Stephen Gran
Hi all,

I'm writing you all to let you know that the impending upload of
clamav to unstable and volatile will likely break your packages. There
are a number of changes which force me to take the unfortunate step of
making libclamav4 not coinstallable with libclamav3 and earlier. This
means that the clamav suite will not be coinstallable with your
packages, so I'm giving everyone a heads up to try to coordinate.

If you want help with forward porting or a sneak look at the packages
before they clear NEW, let me know and I'll do what I can. Note that
I'm also going to upload this to volatile in some form, so changes will
be needed for those of you with versions in stable that link to either
libclamav2 or libclamav3. List of packages below.

manpages-ko REMOVED from testing

2008-04-27 Thread Debian testing watch
FYI: The status of the manpages-ko source package
in Debian's testing distribution has changed.

  Previous version: 20050219-2
  Current version: (not in testing)
  Hint:
# 20080426
Bug #471615: manpages-ko: FTBFS: manconv: iconv: Invalid or incomplete
multibyte or wide character

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals.

Package: manpages-fi
Version: 0.2-2
Severity: normal

Many of the Finnish manpages are severely out of date. Whilst I haven't
yet found any completely wrong information, many of the pages are
missing some of the newer options (e.g. tar -j, grep -a, etc.) or some
other information (e.g. man perl, which shows only part of the available
subsections).

The best fix of course would be the correction of the pages in question;
however, if that is too much to ask for, I suggest the following:

* have the package description mention that many of the manpages contain
  inaccurate information, and

* have the Finnish manpages mention that the information may not be
accurate, and refer to the appropriate English page, i.e. something
  like this:
"Tämä ohjesivu saattaa sisältää vanhentunutta tai puutteellista
tietoa. Ajantasaiset tiedot ovat englanninkielisellä sivulla, jonka
saat näkyviin komennolla man -L C foo."
