Hi!

htdig's postinst errors out if the package is installed from fai because
fai's use of $verbose (set to 1) conflicts with htdigconfig's use of the
same variable (probably intended to be set to -v or something like that.)

The patch might be as simple as

I removed the htdig and its lockfile-progs dependency but its cron
script remains (as it is a conf file), however every day I get an email
saying:
  /etc/cron.daily/htdig:
  /etc/cron.daily/htdig: 6: lockfile-create: not found

Policy 9.5 (Cron jobs) suggests that "crontab entries in these
directories [/etc/cron.*] should check if all necessary programs are
installed before they try to execute them".

A removed htdig package (not purged) causes this error in cron.daily:

/etc/cron.daily/htdig:
/etc/cron.daily/htdig: line 3: lockfile-create: command not found

I don't know if this also happens with an installed htdig, though.

Package: htdig
Version: 1:3.2.0b6-3.1
Severity: normal

I removed the htdig and its lockfile-progs dependency but its cron
script remains (as it is a conf file), however every day I get an email
saying:
  /etc/cron.daily/htdig:
  /etc/cron.daily/htdig: 6: lockfile-create: not found

Policy 9.5 (Cron jobs) suggests that "crontab entries in these
directories [/etc/cron.*] should check if all necessary programs are
installed before they try to execute them".

Many of the files in /etc/htdig are not really configuration files, but
rather library files. They should be under /usr/lib, or /usr/share, and
avoid consuming possibly precious space in the root filesystem.

A removed htdig package (not purged) causes this error in cron.daily:

I don't know if this also happens with an installed htdig, though.

Hi!

htdig's postinst errors out if the package is installed from fai because
fai's use of $verbose (set to 1) conflicts with htdigconfig's use of the
same variable (probably intended to be set to -v or something like that.)

The patch might be as simple as

A removed htdig package (not purged) causes this error in cron.daily:

/etc/cron.daily/htdig:
/etc/cron.daily/htdig: line 3: lockfile-create: command not found

I don't know if this also happens with an installed htdig, though.

Package: htdig
Version: 1:3.2.0b6-5
Severity: serious
Justification: policy violation (FHS)

htdig, after installation, creates db files in /etc/htdig, with a total
of 6M!
# du -hs /etc/htdig/*.db
2.2M/etc/htdig/root2word.db
92K /etc/htdig/synonyms.db
2.8M/etc/htdig/word2root.db

The /etc directory is for configuration files/information only, not for
cache/db files.
A directory like /var/cache/htdig or /var/lib/htdig seems more suitable.

Cheers,
Michael

libglade-config doesn't check at runtime weather or not gnome support is
available, which means trouble if you don't have libglade-gnome0-dev
installed.

It could check for /usr/lib/libglade-gnome.so at runtime.

And I guess that the same problem is applyable to the other modules.

Thanks for a great job

I'm actually seeing this problem from a call to new
Gtk::GladeXML($filename) in perl, but I finally hunted it down by
source code inspection.

In libglade-0.17/glade/glade-gtk.c, label_new, a label is set with:
if (!strcmp(attr->name, "label")) {
string = attr->value;
if (string){
char *s = string [0] ? _(string) : "";
ie. the gettext processing is performed on the string if it has a
value. And, in fact, GtkLabel objects work fine.

In the same file, though, clist_build_children does:
label = attr->value;
if (label) {
gtk_clist_set_column_title (GTK_CLIST(w), col,
label);
ie. the column title is set directly.

I've tested the obvious fix:

Certain widgets do not appear - instead I just see a message like "[a

gpilotd-control-applet shows the "[a gnomeDruid]" instead of the widget.
Console output contains a message like this:

(evolution:3375): libglade-WARNING **: unknown widget class 'GnomeDruid'

I've tried to install each and every debian package that mentions both gnome and
glade.

It is not only gnomeDruid but also fileSelection and other widgets.

Package: libglade-gnome0
Version: 0.16-2
Severity: normal

Greetings,

I've just used Glade to put together a .glade file, and a couple of icons
are not showing up properly. I have a GNOME dialog box, in which I've
changed a couple of buttons: OK I've changed to Go with a Jump To icon, Apply
to Back with an Undo icon, and Cancel to the stock Close button. The .glade
file shows all of these changes properly.

But when I load the interface, the Go buttons have no icon, and the Back
buttons have the Back icon instead of the Undo icon.

I think this is a libglade-gnome problem, but it could be a libgnomeui32
error. Any ideas? I can send you .glade file snippets if you like.

Thanks,

-Adam P.

2008-04-24 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the

override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.
