Bug#476060: Fix for this bug.
Dear Yavor, I actually overlooked your mail, so didn't listen to what you said! I uploaded a fix, and it seems to build fine, and I tested it on my machine and ensured that it works; the build uses -O2 -g. In any case, if removal is the fate, so be it. I don't mind as long as we have one less RC bug. Thanks. Bug#353622: fixed
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: xbatt |1.2.1-5 | source, alpha, amd64, arm, armel, hppa, hurd-i386, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the earliest. Packages are never removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency problems. Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package was superseded by another one. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing [EMAIL PROTECTED] Debian distribution maintenance software pp. Thomas Viehmann (the ftpmaster behind the curtain)

Bug#476760: mkrboot: bashism in /bin/sh script
Package: mkrboot Severity: important Version: 0.95 User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Usertags: goal-dash Hello maintainer, While performing an archive wide checkbashisms (from the 'devscripts' package) check I've found your package containing a /bin/sh script making use of a bashism. checkbashisms' output: > possible bashism in ./usr/sbin/mkrboot line 96 (brace expansion): > zip -j $FILE /tmp/$$/{linux,root.bin,install.bat,loadlin.exe} > >/dev/null Not using bash (or a Debian Policy conformant shell interpreter which does provide such an extra feature) as /bin/sh is likely to lead to errors or unexpected behaviours. Please be aware that although bash is currently the default /bin/sh there's a release goal for Lenny to make dash the default /bin/sh[1]. If you want more information about dash as /bin/sh, you can read: http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2008/01/msg00189.html For more information please refer to the Debian Policy section 10.4 supporting this argument at: http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-files.html#s-scripts Hints about how to fix bashisms: Sometimes these bugs are already fixed in Ubuntu, look at the PTS.
